This guitar was my answer to getting a doubleneck, but not getting the same damn ES1275 that everyone else had...seems everyone wanted to be Jimmy Page when it came to doublenecks. I wanted to be different.

In 1992, I went to a Megadeth show at Long Beach arena (it was New Years Eve) and I saw Dave use one like this for the song "In My Darkest Hour". I thought "THAT'S IT... I GOTTA HAVE IT!!!" So, for years, I tried to save for it. Finally, I got a job with Guitar Center and got this one for my employee discount. It's a replica of Dave's.

I have another one of these now with a maple top and amber finish, again like Dave's, but mine has a neck pickup in the 12-string now. His never do.
