| Mountain Dulcimer |

This is a Mountain Dulcimer that I got from a guy I knew in Moreno Valley. I never named it because it just never hit me as a very personal instrument. I never developed that connection with it like I would a guitar...I guess because you have to concentrate more to play it. It doesn't just flow from me yet...lol The frets are laid out so that each string is moving up in a diatonic scale as you move up a fret at a time. This is a 5-string dulcimer. It's tuned G,G(unison),D,E,E(octaves). Different people like different tunings, and they also come in chromatic setups, where the frets are laid out more guitar-like, in half-steps.
