On a sunday morning i had ewtn's 7:00 mass on and my husband yelled for me to put it on vh1.I couldn't believe it,eveything i love about my roman catholic faith was there before my eyes and they rocked.It gave me hope for the future of the church,it will be the young people who will keep it alive for thier children.Like its been past down for the last 2000 years..."PEACE BE WITH YOU LLB AND THE LLB PRAYER TEAM"

"Heaven" as well as all of LLB's music/songs lets me face each day with a cheerful smile, and gives me the courage and strength to face what is in my path, good or bad.

Rose's Testimony

My Name is Rose Cunningham I am 43 yrs old and have been married for 11 yrs. to my husband.. Chris... I have 2 girls Ana 18 who is attending school in Calif.. and Rebecca 8... we live in Lafayette, Louisiana...I first saw the Los Lonely Boys.. sing Heaven .. on VH1... it came when I was just having a bad day... then their video came on...the beat the words.. lifted me up... but it never showed who sang this song... of course my hubby went to computer to search... there was no song listed how far is heaven... well I got to see it again... well I knew I was hooked... to me Heaven.. is now my daily prayer our daily prayer not a day goes by that we do not listen to this song... I am a mexican woman and grew up catholic... so it brought me back to my roots and religion... I love this song... it has changed my life... and I wish to thank the los lonely boys for bringing this song ... to me...

Carrie's Testimony

I'm actually torn between two songs the first one is "Heaven" because it introduced me to the Boys and its such a powerful song and when I saw the video I finally knew who they were and I was instantly a fan Plus it makes you totally aware of prayer and Our Lord. But the song that really touches my heart is "More Than Love" its so romantic and I love the guitar solo in it. When ever I hear the song I start to think of my husband and how we met and fell in love and all that we have been through together you know the good and the bad our marriage has gotten stronger. I mean I've heard other love songs before but this one "More than Love" really got my heart and some times I cry because the boys say what and how I feel about my husband . I can't say enough about it its such a beautiful song. The whole CD is great I love it I listen to it everyday to just relax. I listen to "More than Love" over and over again.

Jeanette's Testimony

I was visiting my family in Waco and my sister called me over to her house to listen to a CD that she had gotten. She played a snippet of each song for me and was just so hyped about the band. She told me about them being so young and pulled out the CD sleeve and we read the whole thing together. When I saw that they gave Jesus Christ honor and glory for blessing them I knew they had to be special. I told her that I like it and she said “this is your birthday present”. That was in February. I listened to the CD on the ride home (Houston). 2 ½ hours later I was hooked (actually 5 minutes into the CD). The more I listened, the more I loved it. Velvet Sky kept pulling me to play over and over.
I had to make a day trip and was listening to the CD and I found myself crying. Velvet Sky was playing - It was so very emotional! I felt like it was a message from God saying to me “are you walking in between the lines’ (which I was) and “make up your mind, decide” (which I needed to) “I can see the pain in your eyes” (which I had been going through for years) and “when you look upon the velvet sky you will finally come alive “(which to me was a plea for me to pray to my heavenly Father). So I prayed about what I was going through in my life, where I was and decisions I needed to make. It all made sense!
Anyway, My sister asked me to found out when they were playing around Texas and I checked the website for tour dates and found out they were going to be here in Houston in March. She couldn’t make it so I and my daughters went. We were awestruck! The boys were so impressive! After the concert we went over to the side of the stage and my daughters waited to get their autograph while I waited with my sleeping grandson. They saw me standing back and told me “mom you get over here so you can get their autograph, you’re the one who deserves to get it”. By the time Henry was making his way over to where we were standing. He was so sweet to everyone who was complimenting them. One lady next to me said “You know God has blessed you with an awesome talent” and Henry said “we give him all the glory”. When he got to me, I said to him “My sister gave me your CD for my birthday and it’s the best present I could have ever gotten”. He said “really, that’s so nice for you to say”. I told him my camera had broken and I didn’t have any thing to take a picture with. He said “Ah, your camera broke, I’m sorry! “ I then told him that I was so impressed with their writing and musical ability especially at their young age and then I said God Bless you. He came back and pulled his glasses down and said “no, God bless you” and I became teary eyed and he said Mamma, don’t cry. I asked him if he would sign my baseball cap and he said “Sure” so he signed it Don’t Cry, God Bless Henry Garza. JoJo was just as nice and I told him I had emailed them about how much I loved the CD. He said when did you email us? I told him a couple of weeks ago and he said “oh we haven’t gotten that yet”. I told him someone had replied and he said Oh that’s good. Then I got Ringo to sign my cap too and then I got my daughters cell phone and called my sister in Waco and said guess who just signed my cap. Ringo was right by me and I said Ringo can you say hello to my sister she’s the one who gave me the CD for my birthday, He said sure and talked to her, he told her “why didn’t you come and see us, You were working, oh ok mamma I gotta go because I’m signing autographs, OK, God Bless you,” then Henry talked to her and then Jojo. They were so gracious and asked her how she was doing and thanked her for buying me the CD. Henry said Hey your sister was over here crying now I’m going to the bus and cry too…. They all told her God Bless you and it was just plain FUN ….. we talked about it for days!
Anyway, Velvet Sky and the CD saved me. It made me realize that I wasn’t happy with the life I was living. We have gone to 2 LLB concerts and looking forward to STUBBS. My family from Waco has seen how happy I am and 10 of them are coming from Waco to the STUBBS concert.
Lastly, I thank God for blessing LLB with such talent and such humbleness that they continue to give Him the glory. They have reached across so many generations through their music. Their lyrics can be taken for love songs, religious messages and just plain fun songs.

Charlene's (from Dallas) Testimony

From the very first time I saw them perform in concert, I have been praying that they remain safe while traveling, I pray for their health and well being, I pray that they remain the sweet boys they are now - that they do not get involved with alcohol, drugs, sex .... I also thank God for the joy that they have brought to our family, for the fun times we have had seeing them in various concert venues, and for their talent.

Leah's Testimony

It's hard to explain or give a testimony about how LLB has affected my life. It's a mystical experience, I truly believe. My family was driving across West TX on our way to the Rocky Mountains. One of us is always fooling with the radio to try to find the best station when we come into new territory. It's also a way of tuning into the different cultures as we travel. I was looking for the best rock station, not MTV, not rap or hip-hop, certainly not country. Just give me some good old-fashion rock and roll, as the Bob Seger hit goes. It's so rare to find artists today who can be pure rock 'n roll. I'm not sure there is even much trying going on anymore.
All of a sudden I hit upon this station in West Texas, and there was the best music going on. Now, I know it was LLB doing "Real Emotions." Everyone in our family started snapping, clapping and stomping to it. We missed the name of the band and the song which must have been announced at the beginning right before we tuned in. But we all had their sound imprinted in our brains. We vowed that we would never forget their music, or that sound again. And if we ever blessed to hear them again, we would know instantly it was this band. From that point on, in our long journey that led us in to Colorado, Wyoming and Montana, and other states, we felt so happy and light. We all felt that God had given us a blessing--of music -to take with us for a safe and joyful trip...
A few months later on in the year following our trip, we were watching the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The featured musical group he called "Los Lonely Boys." I thought to myself, "Is he saying Los Lobos has renamed their band, or are these some copy cats?" Well, those questions were quickly answered when the camera and lights were put on LLB. From the beginning notes, we knew this was "our group." It was like another blessing that hit us all over again. I think that's what their music does to everyone who gives them a real chance. I recall that we all said a prayer and crossed fingers that we would see them again and again. But it didn't happen until the next time Leno had them on his show. By then, the boys were crackin' the ice block wide open. Then came 2004, and the rest, as is commonly said, is "Their Story."

Kim's Testimony

The first time I saw the video of "Heaven" I was very blessed! It was between episodes of "Sabrina". It is so strong and powerful with Henry's beautiful prayer turned into song plus the perfect background. There was something very special about Henry, Jojo, and Ringo that I felt in the depths of my soul. I feel that Henry, Jojo, and Ringo are special gifts sent down from Heaven for us to love, honor, and respect! That was the true beginning of the prayer team, though I didn't know it at the time.
