O-O-O-O LOOK! There is a remedy we have been using for decades that has all but eliminated cramping muscle problems for us completely. Calcium supports the nerves that allow muscles to relax after they contract. A calcium deficiency causes the muscles to go into a contracting type of runaway, not allowing them to relax. When tormented by these cramping muscles ( mostly while trying to sleep), taking a calcium supplement (as recommended by my parents) would solve the problem for weeks. After repeated afflictions and successful cures, the results became evident. I'm not a doctor or affiliated with the medical profession, just common folk that knows what has worked for us. Proper dosage should be prescribed by professionals although a recommended dosage is usually posted on most bottles. Taking too much calcium could cause a build up in the joints, causing arthritic problems over time but a deficiency can affect everything from muscle function and bone structure to who knows what.
