In order to hear Homeworld's game music, you must follow these steps:
1. Create a file for your hw music, example: hwmusic |
| 2. Place HW_music.wxd from the homeworld folder into your music folder
|
| 3. Download Homesong to your music folder
|
| 4. Open Homesong and wait for it to extract the files from HW_music.wxd; when this is finished, there will be files 1.aif-48.aif
|
| 5. Go to My Computer, View, Folder Options- click on the view tab and UNCHECK hide file extentions, and CHECK show all files
|
| 6. Rename the files 1.aif-48.aif to 1.aifr-48.aifr (it is probably better to use 01.aifr and so on rather than 1.aifr for organizational purposes)

| 7. Download and install Winamp
|
| 8. Download the In_Aif.dll plug-in to C://Program Files/Winamp/Plugins
|
| 9. At this point everything should work- E-mail me if there is any problems
|
| Hint: You must use Winzip to unpack Homesong and the plug-in.
