Joe Burns was born in Mississippi in about 1826.  Mollie robinson was born about 1859 in Mississippi.  They had two sons together.  This site is dedicated to the search for their ancestors and to the uniteing and coming together of their decendants.

Our first knowledge of Joe is that he worked for the USA postal service in or about 1879 when his first son, William Newton Burns was born in Sherman Grayson County.  william was born October 14, 1879 .

The were living in Blue Grove, Clay County Texas when their second son John Wesley Burns  was born on September 3, 1881.

Sometimes during the next few years Joe eighter died or vanished, because Mollie was along with the boys in the 1900 census of Clay County Texas.  She probably has relatives near by but to date I have not recognised them.

In 1910 Mollie was living with John and his Wife Georgia Mae Frederick Burns in wise County Texas.  Georgias parents Joseph and Elizabeth  Frederick lived nearby and Mollies older son, William and his Wife Nettie Gunsolis lived in the area.

In 1920 john and georgia and their children were liveing basck in clay county.  they had a cousin named Dottie Proctor living with them.  William and Nettie and their children were living in carter Co, Oklahoma.  Mollie was not with the boys.  I have not found where she was living at tahat time.

In 1930 Mollie was living in Bridgeport, Wise County Texas with her sister Ella Robinson.  both were widowed.  William and Nettie lived in Fort Worth Tarrant County, where he and his sons worked for the rubber plant.  John's Wife Georgia had died in 1923, and is buried in Bridgeport.  John was living in Wichita Falls later in the 1930's, so that is probably where he was in 1930.

We have not found where Joe or Mollie are buried.

I would like to invite all decendants and extended relations of William and John and any other known decendants To be part of this coming together of the Burns Clan.  Please send me your data, and any information you have.
