Only One Love - Chapters 1-5
Chapter 1 ~ The News
"Shina!!! Phone call!!!" Her mom yelled into her door.
"Ok I got it! Geez," she mumbled as she picked up the phone.
"Shina here whatcha want?" she asked, irritation very present in her voice.
"Well hi to you too unni!" her best friend Mako chirped perkily. Not that perkiness and her wasn't very common.
"Mako what do you want? I was in the middle--"
"Yeah yeah I know you were in the middle of some good sleep and you were probably dreaming about Dong Wan *again*, "rattled Mako jokingly. "But anywayz... I've got good news!! We've both been accepted as foreign exchange students and we should be getting our tickets in two days!!!"
Shina was stunned. Shen knew that she had a good chance of becoming a foreign exchange student, but it was still shocking nonetheless.
"Shina???" Mako asked wondering if Shina was braindead. Shina was a very talkative person and to hear nothing for more than 30 seconds was kinda scary.
"Huh? Oh ya! I'm here! That's great!" Shina exclaimed fully awake now that the facts had a chance to settle in.
"Well I'm gonna go get packin so I'll talk to ya lata," Mako replied, barely able to contain her excitement.
"Okie," Shina replied. "Bai bai~!" Shina hung up and got to packing. /I finally get to go to Korea/ Shina thought to herself, /All my hard work and dedication has paid off, now let's hope I don't screw it up now.../
~~Meanwhile at Mako's house~~
Mako hung up the hone while dancing around the room.
"I can't believe it! This is like a dream come true!!! Oh Yeah!!!" she exclaimed cheerfully while running around the house too excited to think clearly.
"Who do I need to call?" she thought tapping her forehead w/ her index and middle fingers.
"I called my patents and all my friends but I feel like I missed someone... USAGI!!!" she shouted as she recalled the left out person. She dialed Usagi's number quickly.
"Kon-nichi-wa!!! I got the letter back from the foreign exchange program and guess what! YESS!!!!! I'm going to Seoul!! Of course! I promise to write you everyday and take some pictures of Chil Hyun oppa for you! Ai Shiteru Usagi! Bai bai~!"
Mako hung up the phone and finished packing. She laid down on the bed, her mind thinking about the next couple of days. Her thoughts didn't get too far as she drifted off to sleep.
Chapter 2 ~ The Departure
The day had finally arrived~~ Mako and Shina were at the airport saying goodbye to everyone.
"Goodbye everyone! I'm gonna miss y'all so much!" Shina cried as she gave the last of the hugs and kisses to everyone. Mako, the melodramatic one she is, was bawling on everyone's clothes.
"All boarding... flight number 624 to Seoul Korea now boarding," the intercom blared. Shina grabbed her things and slowly walked down the aisle to the plane alongside Mako. This was her dream for years, but it still hurt to leave everything she knew and loved.
/This is what I wanted, and only good can come from it/ she reassured herself as she looked for her sear. Mako was all laughs and giggles, which, of course, was nothing unusual.
"Ooooh lookie! I got a window seat!! she exclaimed as she bounced to her seat.
"Oh man I got the middle!" Shina pouted as she sat down next to Mako.
"It's all good though! As long as I got my cds and my discman I'm happy! She pulled out her beloved ShinHwa2 and started to sing along after getting situated.
"D.O.P., D.O.G., Nuhl boh naen hoo eh na neun ahl geh dwet suh suh, Geu uh gguhn sa ram doh dae shin hahl sooh up neun guhl, Nahn mae il ga chi gi do hae suh, Ni ga bool haeng ha gi man eul gi do hae suh, Gu dae da shi nae geh roh do la wah~!!!"
Mako smacked Shina upside the head, something she did frequently. It's not that the singing was horrible, in fact, Shina was damn near perfection, but she was just so loud! Shina pulled off her headphones and gave Mako a dirty look.
"Aigo dong seng what was that for? Shina was highly pissed for being interrupted during her favorite part of her favorite song.
"You baka! (stupid/silly) You were singing too loud again!" Shina smiled sheepishly as she put her headphones back on.
"Oops?" Mako rolled her eyes and stared out the window. Shina was currently focused on the vocals and melodies and submelodies being put together ever so delicately by ShinHwa. She learned every ShinHwa song inside and out. Afterall, they were her main reason for coming to Korea, for studying Korean, and learning the culture inside and out even tho she was nowhere near Korean. This was something she loved and she was determined to meet them. This was her dream, next to meeting Kim Dong Wan of course. Sure it was a highly impossible fantasy, but everyone has those right? A small smile appeared on her caramel skin as she fell asleep, Dong Wan's smooth voice the last thing on her mind.

"Yo Dong Wan hyung, snap out of it!" Min Woo shouted as he was waving his hands in front of Dong Wan's face. Dong Wan had something on his mind and it was very apparent as he couldn't focus on anything else today during practice.
"Oh sorry man, I'll do better," Dong Wan reassured him with a small smile. Why did he keep have the feeling that something big was gonna happen? Dong Wan sat up and walked back into the practice room with Min Woo and Jin.
"Hey hyung are you gonna be ok?" Jin asked, worried about Dong Wan. This was unlike Dong Wan to be like this and he was kinda worried.
"Yeah Jin I'll be fine," Dong Wan replied confidently, reassuring both Jin and himself.
"Let's get back to work now." He needed to focus on something other than what could be happening that's so big.
Chapter 3 ~ The Arrival
"Unni! Unni! Wake up wake up WAKE UP!!!!" Mako shouted into Shina's ears now that the plane had landed and everyone was getting off. Shina yawned and stood up.
"We're finally here," Shina stated as she got her things and started walking.
"This is so exciting!!!" Mako wailed, her eyes big as saucers as she looked at everything. Shina looked at everything equally amaxed. She picked her suitcases and went to look for her car that was already sent.
"Hey Shina!" Mako yelled as she ran over.
"Huh?"
"Look at this flyer!!" Mako flashed a neon pink sheet of paper in front of Shina.
"SM Town Auditions being held..." Shina read aloud as she quickly scanned over the sheet. "So what about it?" she asked.
"What about it?!?! This is like a dream come true! We need to audition! And then I can meet my love, my Hye Sungie!" Mako droned on and on as the sparkles in her eyes got bigger. Now this was an obsessed girl. "Ok Mako let's get to our apartment," Shina said as she walked towards her car. Mako followed excited to the hunter green Mustang GT.

"Ok you guys good practice! Head home and get some rest!" Mr. Lee Soo Man boomed cheerfully now that practice was over.
"I'm hungry!" Andy whined.
"Me too!" Hye Sung chimed in.
"Me three!" Min Woo smiled as he added in his two cents. Dong Wan rolled his eyes and continued to stare at the ceiling.
"Well I'm gonna go out and get some food then head back to the apartment," Hye Sung said, reaching for the car keys.
"I'm goin too!!" Andy shouted enthusiastically as he bounced alongside Hye Sung.
"I'm gonna go just to make sure you two don't do anything stupid," Eric said roling his eyes at the two.
"I'm gonna chill out here for awhile then walk home," Dong Wan said his eyes remaining fixed on the ceiling.
"Don't stress out too much hyung," Jin said as he left with the guyz.
"I won't."

Mako and Shina were hard at work arranging their rooms for the past hour. The both sat exhaustedly on the couch flipping through channels.
"Unni, I'm hungry!" Mako whined.
"Geez do I have to do everything?!" Shina wondered out loud as she grabbed her purse and fished for her keys.
"I'll go get some food from the resturant a couple blocks away. I'll be back in about twenty minutes ok?"
"Yeah okie! I want cause too much trouble!" Mako assured Shina. Shina only rolled her eyes in response as she headed out the door.

"Oh damn! I gotta get goin!" Dong Wan scolded himself as he woke up. He jumped off the floor and ran out the door.
/The guys are gonna seriously think I lost it now for being late!/ The group all drove together in the van so he would had to run as fast as his legs would carry him. Dong Wan kept looking at his watch hoping he wouldn't be late. He was always the most responsible of the group and to show up after curfew would really look bad. He was almost home when he crashed into a tall dark figure. That's all he remembered before his head bounced off the concrete and everything turned black.
Chapter 4 ~ The Meeting
"Oh my god!!!" SHina exclaimed as she kneeled over the unconscious body. She picked him up and dragged him to a nearby bench. Dong Wan slowly came to, his eyes narrow slits as first, before opening all the way staring into the black beauty.
"What happened?" he asked groggily as he managed to sit up looking into Shina's deep brown eyes.
"Oh... oh.... oh my god..." she stammered as she realized who she just most likely gave a concussion to. Dong Wan's look of confusion turned to one of concern.
"Are you ok?"
"Aishh! Oh my goodness Dong Wan I am so sorry! I should've been paying attention! It's just I was tryin to get food for me and my dong seng and we just moved here and I was walking and I looked up and you ran straight into me and we both fell and your head bounced off the concrete and you went unconscious and I'm so so sorry! Please don't kill me or hate me! This is a really great way to start off a new life here! give Dong Wan from ShinHwa a concussion!" >_< Shina said quickly as she stood up and dusted off her clothes. Dong Wan smiled at her.
"It's all my fault I should've been paying attention," He said standing up as well. "You seem to know my name but I don't know yours." Shina mentally smacked herself for being so rude.
"Oi! I'm sorry! My name's Shina, SHina Kim. Nice to meet you! I wish it could've been under better circumstances," Shina said frowning.
"How about I walk with you to get food for your dong seng and then I'll walk you home. Would that make the circumstances better?" Dong Wan asked. Shina shook her head even though she was dying to say yes. This is what she always wanted right?
"No, I wouldn't want to make you later than you already are. I'd feel bad," she insisted.
"It's ok. I promise. I can just call the guys later. So tell me yes! I won't take no for an answer," he urged looking into her eyes. She couldn't resist. After all, this was Dong Wan!
"Ok," she smiled. "Let's go." Dong Wan smiled as walked alongside Shina to the resturant.
/She's beautiful./ he thought to himself. Shina looked at him quizically.
"So what were you in such a hurry for?" Shina asked.
"Oh, me and my friends were supposed to eat, and I stayed behind and went to sleep and overslept."
"Oh you mean you and ShinHwa?"
"You know about us?"
"Yeah! I got all of your albums and I can sing all of the songs!"
"That's impressive. You're gonna have to sing for me one day."
"I dunno about all that now!"
"Here's the resturant." Dong Wan opened the door and Shina walked in.
"Hey what should I order?" she asked him. Dong Wan smiled again.
"How about you sit down and I order for you? I'll even pay!" he offered.
"Oh I'd feel bad if I didn't pay! I know you have a lot of money and stuff but I'd feel better if I paid," Shina replied. She took his hand and placed the money in his palm. She looked into his eyes, a look of warmth and gratitude reflecting in her deep brown eyes. She smiled sheepishly and sat down at a nearby table.
She pulled out her cell phone as Dong Wan was ordering.
"Hey Mako! It's Me! You won't believe what happned," she said enthusiastically as she proceeded to gush out all the details. Dong Wan then sat across from her looking at her.
"Who are you talking to?" he inquired thoughtfully.
"Mako," she said putting her hand over the receiver. She then went back to talking.
"What do you mean you don't believe me?!?! MAKO NO BAKA!!! I sware it's true!" Shina started to get a distressed look on her face when Dong Wan took the phone from her.
"Dong Wan!" she hissed, "what are you doing?!?!" Dong Wan simply ignored her and began to talk to Mako.
"Is this Mako? Yeah this is he. I kinda ran into her and passed out. Then I offered to walk her here then back home since we don't live too far away.... sure I'd love for you two to come over and meet the guys but I dunno if that would be a good idea. Maybe we can come over there instead?" Dong Wan held the phone away from his ears as Mako started squealing happily. Shina rolled her eyes and grabbed the phone back from Dong Wan. He pouted. Shina noted how cute he looked when he pouted.
"Mako! Chill out ok? Yeah yeah I know! Blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda! Ok the food's here so I'll be home in about 6 or 7 min k? Bai bai~!"
Shina hung up the phone and put it back in her purse.
"Did you have a good conversation?" she asked sarcastically. Dong Wan stuck his tongue out at her.
"Very much so! Now let's go!" He picked up the food and headed out the door.
They started talking again as they got closer to her apartment.
"So how long are you gonna be here? Are you a foreign exchange student? Will I see you again?" The last question had extra enthusiasm that made Shina smile.
"Um... let's see," she started, "at least a year, yes, and I really hope so." That last answer brought a sparkle to her eyes that Dong Wan found irresistable.
"Ok we're here!!" Shina shouted as she knocked on the door. She and Dong Wan were greeted with a blinding camera flash.
"Hi hi!!" Mako greeted as she ushered Shina and Dong Wan in.
"Can I ask what that was for?" Dong Wan asked setting the food down and rubbing his eyes.
"Oh it's a tradition!" Mako stated. "Everytime we open the door we take a picture and put it on our wall! And this is the very first pic of our new apartment! YAY!!!"
"Well I better be going, the guys must be worried about me," Dong Wan said walking towards the door.
"Ok," Mako said. "It was nice meeting you!"
"It was nice meeting you too," Dong Wan replied. Shina walked with him to the door.
"Thank you for everything, and I'm really sorry about your head," she said apologetically.
"It's no big deal really," he replied smiling.
"Well I gotta get going now. I hope I can see you two again." Shina got uncharacteristically bold and gave Dong Wan a big hug and kiss on the cheek. And there went another camera flash. Dong Wan blushed before returning the kiss.
"Bye."
"Goodbye Dong Wan oppa," Shina said before reluctantly closing the door. She walked towards the food.
"UNNI OH MY GOOD!!!!!!" Mako shouted bouncing around the room. "Out first day here and you show up with KIM DONG WAN!!!!! AIgo you're so lucky!!"
"Mako it's not that serious!" Mako started waving the instant pic infront of Shina. She grabbed it. There it was... her giving Dong Wan a little kiss on the cheek and him.... smiling??
"Now you tell me this means nothing unni!" Shina smiled and sat down to eat her kimchi.
Chapter 5 ~ The Story
Dong Wan walked up the stairs to his shared apartment, unable to get Shina off his mind. He smiled as he opened the door. Eric was on the couch watching TV. He looked up and saw Dong Wan.
"Hey man where were ya? We were about to send out a search party," Eric joked as Dong Wan sat down.
"Hyung, I've met the girl of my dreams," Dong Wan said with a grin as he slouched into the seat.
"Are you serious?! You gotta tell the details! What does she look like? Do I know her? Does she have a friend? What did you two do?" Eric rattled off questions with intense curiosity. Dong Wan simply smiled as he started to tell Eric about his encounter with Shina. Andy then walked into the living room taking the remote from Eric upon hearing all the details.
"Awwww! Hyung's in love! That's so beautiful!" Andy gushed as he continued flipping channels. He got a pillow thrown at him as a response.
"Do you have her phone number?" Eric asked.
"No," Dong Wan replied.
"YA BABO!" Andy exclaimed. "Why not?!" Min Woo then came in half asleep (as well as half dressed ^^) to see what Andy was yelling about this time.
"Andy, you do realize people are trying to sleep right?" Min Woo asked irritated that his sleep was ruined.
"Really?" Andy answered with mock concern.
"I'm *so* sorry! I wasn't aware I was ruining your sleep! But I'm just tellin Dong Wan hyung what a dork he is!" Dong Wan rolled his eyes as Min Woo raised an eyebrow in mild curiosity.
"I didn't even think of asking for her number until you mentioned it," he started, "but I do know where she lives remember? And besides, I told her and Mako that we were gonna drop by one day." Dong Wan got a room full of jaw drops.
"Man are you crazy?!" Eric yelled.
"Yes!" Andy answered for Dong Wan.
"Well," Dong Wan started, "I was thinking we just stay for a couple hours and show them around since they're new here! Plus I really wanna see Shina again."
"AWWWWWW!!!!!" cooed Andy and Min Woo as Dong Wan started to blush.

Shina stared at the floor as she replayed the day's events in her head.
"I can't believe it," she whispered to no one in particular, "I ran into Kim Dong Wan.... and I kissed him! No one back home would believe this!" She put her bookbag and uniform on the table beside her desk and preceeded to go to sleep.
