War: What is it Good For? Prologue-Ch.3
Prologue

"Juno! Look out!" A shot rang out and Juno slumped to the ground quickly. Yang Goon looked around as him and Taiji were surrounded. Juno died on impact but Yang Goon and Taiji were unharmed. Another shot was fired and Taiji fell on Yang Goon, both falling to the ground. Sirens were heard and the group in red quickly retreated. Taiji pulled out his key and handed it to Yang Goon, speaking his last words.
"Yang Goon ah.... go underground...*cough* avenge our deaths and become top of the empire again...." Taiji's eyes rolled into his head. Taiji was now dead. Yang Goon put Taiji and Juno's bodies into the black car, his emotions now hidden.
"I sware on my life, Jiro Yoshito... I will get revenge..."
Chapter 1

"Shina yah, your presence is requested by Yang Goon," Danny said walking into her room.
"Thanx," she replied. She quickly went upstairs to the third floor and pressed in her security code walking in.
"You wanted to see me?" Shina asked sitting in a nearby chair.
"Yes, I have a proposition for you," Yang Goon said reclining in his chair. "You know you have always been a daughter to me since your parents were killed. I am very proud of you. You're beautiful, beyond smart, and your fighting skills can be compared to Taiji."
"Thank you sir, but what is the point you're getting to?"
"I'll cut straight to the point-- my doctors have told me that I have lung cancer." Shina gasped putting her hand to her mouth. Yang Goon noticed this and continued.
"I want you, Shina, to take over as leader of YG." Shina looked back dumbfounded.
"So what is your answer?" he asked.
"Yes, I would be honored to become the new leader."
"Good, I know you will do good. But all I ask of you are two things."
"What would that be sir?"
"The first," Yang Goon said clearinig his throat, "is that you avenge the deaths of my brothers. I heard from very reliable sources that Mr. Jiro Yoshito is sending his son and daughter back here. I swore on my life that I'd get revenge, and I want you to help me do that."
"I promise on my life that I will get revenge," Shina said walking torwards the door.
"One more thing Shina," Yang Goon called out to her. Shina turned around looking at him.
"Yes sir?"
"Make sure you and my son get married sometime before I die." Yang Goon chuckled as Shina bowed blushing.
"Nae sir, I'll work on it."
"We'll have your official ceremony tomorrow in front of the whole group," Yang Goon said simply.
"Thank you for this great opportunity sir," Shina said bowing again, "I won't let you down." Yang Goon nodded.
"You and Teddy go out tonight, have some fun," Yang Goon said with a smile. Shina nodded and left his office. Shina went downstairs looking for Teddy but first found Jinu cleaning his gun.
"Don't you have a room to do that in?" Shina asked looking around.
"Don't tell me you'rs still afraid of guns," Jinu replied smiling. Shina made a face at him and Jinu laughed. You could never tell by their childish behavior that t they're one of the most feared mafias in Pusan.
"I simply prefer knives that's all," Shina said defensively. "Anywayz... where's Teddy oppa?"
"He's in his room," Jinu answered putting his gun back together.
"Thanx oppa!" Shina exclaimed as she headed toward the stairs.
"Hey!" Jinu cried out.
"Yeah?"
"Congradulations. I'm jealous." Shina smiled at him.
"Thanx oppa. I hope I'm a good leader."
"One more thing."
"Yes oppa?"
"Remember my room is right below yours. I'd like some peaceful sleep. Shina made another face walking upstairs to his room. She walked in and found Teddy bare-chested laying on his bed looking at the ceiling.
"Hey," Shina said softly climbing into the bed and straddling his waist.
"Hey you, congradulations," Teddy said reaching up and kissing her softly. She smiled laying down, resting her head on his shoulder.
"So has dad been talking to you about our marriage too?" he asked softly running his fingers through her hair.
"Yeah. Are you nervous?" She asked turning to look at him.
"Yeah," he replied honestly, his body suddenly tensing up. Shina noticed this and moved behind him massaging his shoulders.
"Why? You don't wanna get married?" Shina asked concerned.
"No it's not that," Teddy said quickly, "I love you so much and I can't wait to marry you...it's just that I wish it wasn't in front of so many people. I mean he wants this to be the biggest event in all of Korea! I guess it's just nerves." Teddy sighed as Shina kissed him just below his earlobe. Shina then turned so that she was facing him.
"We have lots of time to focus on the wedding," she said softly. Without warning Teddy flipped Shina over, Shina laughing softly.
"You are so right," Teddy agreed lightly sucking on her neck. "I have the most beautiful girl in the world to focus on." Shina smiled. As Teddy kissed her passionately, Shina was oblivious as they were the only two people in the world.
Chapter 2
"I'm so glad we're back in Pusan!" Mako exclaimed as she went into the apartment.
"Yeah, it feels good to be back home," Dong Wan said stretching.
"Hey doesn't your friend live here? Sung Ae right?"
"Yeah, but I don't know how to contact her," Mako said frowning.
*~Flashback~*
*Five Years Ago*
"Shina I have to go to Japan to see my Dad and brother," Mako said looking down.
"Here," Shina said handing her a broken necklace. "I'll still be here when you get ba back." Mako took the necklace hugging Shina tightly.
"When I come back we'll stalk guys and nothing will keep us apart," Mako said smiling through her tears.
*~End Flashback~*
*Ring*
The telophone rang jolting Mako from her thoughts. Dong wan reached the phone by her.
"Hello?" Yes father we're here. Yes father I know. I'll start tomorrow ok? Bye." Dong Wan hung up the phone sighing.
"Ah, he's still pressurin ya about the YG think?" Mako asked walkinig towards the kitchen.
"Yeah, he wants me to find Yang Goon and kill him," he replied.
"Don't worry oppa," Mako reassured him, "I bet if I could find Shina, she could help us out. Girl's always had connections!" Dong Wan laughed and fixed something to eat.

Shina layed beside Teddy happily, Teddy softly stroking her hair.
"Have I ever told you how much I love you Shina Kim?" Teddy asked tracing circles lightly on her palm.
"Yeah you have," she replied smiling, "but you can always tell me again." Teddy laughed getting up.
"I'm gonna go take a shower... ya wanna join me?" Shina laughed as she got up, going in the opposite direction towards her room.
"I'll be back here in thirty minutes so we can go out ok?" Teddy nodded going into his bathroom as Shina went into hers.
*45 Minutes Lata*
Shina walked into Teddy's room where he was already waiting for her.
"You're late," he scolded laughing. Shina just made a face taking his hand.
"Let's go out to eat ok?" Shina said changing the subject as they walked down the stairs. They ran into Danny who was showing Sean his newest electronic gizmo.
"Hey Shina, come here," Danny beckoned.
"Hey Danny what's up?" Danny was silent as he carefully slid a clear covering over her jade dragon nencklace.
"What's this?" She asked trying not to squirm as Danny was so close to her... *ahem* cleavage.
"It's a camera!" Danny exclaimed proudly. He then took another clear covering and placed it over her jade earring.
"This is a microphone," Danny explained as he took a step back. "Can't even notice." Shina nodded and went back over to Teddy.
"Now the camera can pick up pictures in high quality from six different angles. I will talk to you through the microphone and I can hear you as well along with any other conversations." Shina nodded again as her and Teddy went outside walking along the sidewalk.
"So where ya wanna eat?" Teddy asked holding her hand.
"I dunno," Shina replied. She then noticed two figures walking out of the building near them.
"Hey she's cute," Danny said inito the earpieice.
"Shutup oppa," Shina replied laughing. She suddenly took a closer look at the shorter figure and gasped.
"Mako!" Shina called out. The two figures suddenly stopped.
"Shina?" Mako asked looking up. Both girls screamed running towards each other.
"OMG it's so great to see you!" Mako exclaimed hugging Shina. Dong Wan walked up to the two looking Shina up and down with a grin.
"You're pretty cute," Dong Wan said putting a hand on her hip. Shina pushed his hand away taking a step back.
"Um no, I don't think so."
"Shina this is my brother Dong Wan," Mako said noticing the slight tension.
"Dong Seng meet my fiancee Teddy." Tedy stepped forward smiling at Mako. Dong Wan just ignored him and focused his attention back to Shina.
"Hey you wanna go out sometime?" Dong wan asked reaching out to touch her face. Teddy quickly grabbed his wrist forcing it away from Shina's face.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Teddyy said coldly, a blaze of fire in his eyes.
"Shina it's them!" Danny yelled. "Look at his finger!" Shina looked at his middle finger and saw a red ring tattooed on it. This confirmed it-- he was Yoshito's son.
"Teddy yah, just let him go ok?" Shina pleaded. Teddy let go still angry. Mako gave her a small smile, pulling out a card and handing it to her.
"Call me sometime ok?" Shina gave a small nod walking onwards with Teddy.
"I really do not like him," Teddy said angrily.
"Don't worry about it," Shina said grabbing his hand again.
"Well it doesn't help that he's Yoshito's kid."
"Don't worry hyung," Danny said upon hearing this. "Sean and I are pulling up all the info we can on him.
"We're gonna fight...I just know it..."

"Oppa, what the hell was your problem back there?!" Mako yelled at him.
"What? I just saw somethin I like," Dong Wan responded casually.
"Who happens to be my best friend! And you're not gonna treat her like all those sluts you treated in Tokyo! Besides she's engaged!" Dong Wan spun quickly on his heel slapping Mako.
"Don't you *ever* talk to me that way again." Mako simply turned around running back into the apartment.
"Don't be surprised Mako when I get her!" He yelled out. " I *always* get what I want. Dong Wan smirked to himself and continued walking.
Chapter 3
*The Next Day*
Shina woke up quickly preparinig for the ceremony. She put on her jade dragon necklace which would soon be replaced with a jade dragan encircling a black rose, showing her as leader. She planned to waste little time when it came to Dong Wan. She quickly put up her hair securing it with her lucky switchblades. She then put on her dress and walked outside where Jin Hwan and Teddy were already waiting for her. Shina linked arms with them and they proceeded to the atrium.
"Damn you look good," Teddy growled into Shina's ear.
"Are you always horny oppa?" Shina asked with a smile.
"Every moment I see my beautiful fiancee," Teddy replied.
"Geez don't you two ever stop?" Jin Hwan scoffed as they reached the back door. Shina just smiled. All three faces became serious as they went through the door. All three bowed towards Yang Goon as Shina stepped forward. Yang Goon took Shina's hand and both went to the podium. Then Yang Goon began to speak.
"On this day in 1999, I regret to inform you all that I have lung cancer and my time is increasingly short. I'm choosing Shina Kim as my successor for many many reasons. But mainly, she holds many similarities to my late brother Taiji, both in fighting and in thinking. All of you bow to our new leader, Shina Kim."
Everyone bowed towards Shina, including Yang Goon as he took off her necklace and replaced it with his. As Yang Goon stepped down off the podium, everyone stood up and Shina began to speak.
"I'm gonna get straight to our objective," Shina said calmly, clearing her throat. Then a picture of Dong Wan from last night appeared on the wall behind her.
"The man you see here is Takeshi Yoshito, sn of Jiro Yoshito. His Korean name is Kim Dong Wan and he has recently moved here in an apartment with his sister Mako. Keep your eye out for him but do not start a fight with him. Not yet. He's a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and he's very experienced in Wushu. He has not yet done anything but always be on the lookout. You all will be split into four squads in the following days to handle certain buisnesses. Thank you." Shina bowed to the group before stepping off the podium. Everyone bowed as well before leaving the atrium.
"Hey lets go out," Teddy said to Danny and Shina.
"Sorry hyung, I gotta work on my surveilence projects," Danny replied wiping his glasses.
"I can go, I have nothing else to do," Shina said smiling. Shina and Teddy wentto a nearby resturant and sat down quickly.
"I'll be back," Teddy said going towards the bathroom. Shina nodded looking at the menu. Unnoticed to her Dong Wan came into the resturant walking quietly towards her. He got behind her and lightly kissed her neck. Shina quickly turned around and Dong Wan grabbed her face, kissing her roughly. Shina slapped him and grabbed his neck squeezing tightly.
"You ever touch me again and I'll cut out your tongue and mail it to your father," Shina said coldly. Dong Wan's eyes traveled to Shina's throat and he gasped as he noticed the necklace.
"How ironic that the girl I want is the leader of YG," he said coughing. Forcing his strength, he grabbed Shina's wrists and kissed her again. This time she bit down hard and Dong Wan screamed. Teddy came out of the bathroom and saw what was going on. He yelled out angrily distracting Dong Wan . Shina pulled the blades out of her hair and slashed his face, putting the blades against his neck. Teddy ran over and grabbed Dong Wan's collar throwing him against the wall punching him repeatedly. Shina grabbed Teddy's arm and pulled him away.
"Teddy not here!" Shina screamed. Teddy looked over at her more pissed off than he's ever been.
"This is not over, and not by a long shot." Teddy spat out.
"You're so right Tedddy," Dong Wan agreed, "and when it's all said and done I'll have your pretty little fiancee in my bed." Dong Wan sat up smirking. Teddy went to hit him again but Shina stoped him again puling him towards her.
"Later," Shina said sliding her arm around his waist. Teddy mumbled looking at Dong Wan hatefully as they walked out of the door. Dong Wan smiled getting his cell phone.
"Father, send ShinHwa here... I found out something you might be interested in."
