I had a very unpleasant phone conversation and arguments with one customer today. After I went home, I was still very unhappy and prayed to the Lord. I told God how I felt and also asked Him to cleanse me and change me.
I opened Bible and read Genesis chapter 49 to 50. I asked God to help me in uttering beautiful words (Genesis 49:21 Naphtali…utters beautiful words), and speaking kindly to people. (Genesis 50:21 Joseph spoke kindly to his brothers)
I went to Church's prayer meeting at night. During worship, Pastor James Jih asked us to have a quiet time to focus on Jesus and His cross. I saw Jesus hanging on the cross in the vision. Than Pastor kept praying that it should be us to be hanged on the cross, but Jesus did that for us. At the same time, I saw my Chinese name was written on a notice that hanged in front of Jesus' chest.
" For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. " (Romans 6:6~7) Yes Lord, my old self was crucified with Jesus on the cross and I am free from accusation and bondage.
And then, I saw Jesus taking up His cross and I followed Him with my own cross. "Then Jesus said to His disciples, " If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. " (Matthew 16:24) Yes Lord, I am willing to follow you. Please help me to deny myself and walk with you daily without being hampered or slumbered. Thank you for the cross.
