I, as well as many of you, purchased the Jampack for PS2. The Demos gave me a good idea of what these games will be about. Read on to know what games rule and what games drool.
THE RULERS:
ICO-A great game with an innovative new style. You play the role of a horned boy who rescues a girl for some reason(no story details revealed) and then you must help get her out of the castle before the shadown demons get her. The innovation is that you must worry about her. if you don’t constantly hold her hand, she will wander away. Yet sometimes you must leave to go exploring while she waits, which she doesn’t do very well, so hurry. This game looks to be one of the next blockbuster games that will have peope lining up.
Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil- WOW. Even I was surprised at this game. One of the best platformers I have ever seen. You play the role of a rabbit like thingee who has to protect some girl from something(still no story details revealed). The controls are awesome and the two levels I played were da bomb. Platformer fans everywhere can start hyping up the greatest platformer of the year.
THE DROOLERS:
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2- What can I say except that it is exactly the same as the first. The graphics have had little improvements except for lighting. While that may sound good to some of you, I was looking for something new, or at least better graphics.

The three consoles that will be fighting for the living room are Sony’s Playstation 2, Nintendo’s Gamecube, and newcomer Microsoft’s XBox. Throughout this article I will try to be completely non-biased and just factual.
Let’s start at the beginning, all three consoles have been released. The Playstation2 has a huge lineup of must have games out by the time the other consoles come around, the Gamecube coming in second with a strong lineup of games, but most won’t come out for a while, and the XBox in third with very few games that are great and none really planned.
Then after a while the online plans of the companies strart to take affect with XBox and Playstation 2 in the lead with lots of plans to expand their systems onto the world wide web, but where is Gamecube, relatively far behind, with very few plans, hiding behind Nintendo’s “games only” strategy for the console.
As the three consoles begin to get more and more games, we start to see XBox lagging a slight bit, because they have nothing to represent the console like PS2 and Gamecube have Jak and Daxter and Zelda. Then XBox realizes it has no real mascots, just ones they bought and tries to make one, and they try to make one, but end up with a mediocre game. Microsoft is barely hanging onto the gaming industry, with PS2 and gamecube still waging war, but PS2 is one ahead because of their online plans.
When time goes on, the PS2 will be getting very original and creative games, while the Gamecube will be rehashing games that involve Mario, Zelda, and the rest of the Nintendo gang. So the PS2 will slowly pull into the lead leaving Microsoft completely out of it, and Nintendo a close second as it was in this last war. Hit by Hit Console War
By:Rory
Round One: With an early start, PS2 learns and adjusts to the consumers and starts work on spaectacular titles, and the Gamecube and the XBox take off with some good titles but not many. The price of the Gamecube helps sell it while a PS2 price cut leaves that flying off the shelves as well. The XBox, with high prices and not to many must have games gets a very bad start and needs a miracle to win this battle.
Round Two: The consoles move into the ring and both systems, PS2 and Gamecube, deal the XBox huge blows offering great games that are must have and XBox is barely holding onto the gaming industry with a good online plan. Just the Gamecube and the PS2 are left fighting for the number one spot on the gaming industry.
Round Three: The Gamecube brings out the big guns with games like Zelda and Mario, while Sony pulls out equally big guns with Metal Gear Solid 2 and Devil May Cry. They start to go into very minute things and they move onto the next round.
Round Four: The games go along to fight, the graphics are equal and they block the blows dealt by the other. Then they start focusing on characters, with Solid Snake and many original characters the PS2 deals a huge blow to the Gamecube who has only rehashed games like Super Smash Brothers and other series that belong in the 2D realm.
Round Five: This is what it comes down to, the online plans of the two companies, with Nintendo hanging onto the chance for a first spot in the industry, but Sony plans had just come into play and they are going all online with great games like Unreal and they manage to push Nintendo to an extremely close second.

FFXI on All Systems? Here is why not
By: Rory
Square says that they will produce the game for the other systems, but that doesnt fit in with other plans Nintendo and Microsoft made.
Microsoft wants one bill for everything online having to do with the system. Since FFXI will be powered by PlayOnline, that is impossible, and neither company is thinking of changing their plans.
Nintendo, on the other hand, does not have an online plan and is going for a gaming only system, and does not want to integrate online with the system until it is proved absolutely necessary.
Therefore, unless companies change the plans they already made, it wont work for any system other than the PS2
