Me & Sailor Moon (Or, how I became such a Sailor Moon fan) (A little essay thingie by me:) It all started three or four years ago...won't you join me on this trip down memory lane? *The theme song of Twilight Zone starts playing* Grrr..just a moment *I go over and kick the radio, it starts playing a low classical song* Okaaay, now as I was saying... It all started when I was over at my dad's for a few days enjoying the ever captivating wonder of cable TV..Needless to say, there was nothing good to watch on and I was bored out of my mind. So there I sat, in the armchair clinking though channels in the slim hopes of finding something, anything on TV. Then, I saw something! It was different and colorful but I passed it up, thinking it to be nothing special. Slowly tough I found myself complied to go back to that channel (It was ether USA or UPN, not sure) and I saw Sailor Moon transforming. My first thought was "wow, sparkley" and my second was "I wish I could do that!". It'd never seen true anime before and it hooked me right of the bat. The animation looked better to me than anything I'd seen growing up in the USA , the storyline was catchy with plenty of twist. Tuxedo Mask became a instate crush and I *loved* his cape , mask, and roses. If anyone's wondering, the first episode I saw then was "Time Bomb " I came in on it in the middle tough, but to me it will always be my first episode if not really the shows first:). There's always a sense of newness about it whenever I watch it, even now. When all is said and done I am thankful, yes *thankful* to Dic for dubbing Sailor Moon. If it wasn't for them I would not have known what Sailor Moon was or gotten into anime at all. Now I know enough about anime to get subtitled versions if I what and buy other anime as well. The first dubbed Sailor Moon may have been cut to pieces, but it opened my eyes to SailorMoon. For what it's worth, thank you Dic... Signed, Rebecca (aka: Becky) Lakey
