When looking at Langly, you tend to wonder just how much in life he takes seriously. Wearing black-rimmed glasses, long blond hair, and rock band t-shirts, he's not exactly the picture of a conventional conspirator. He is the communications expert of the Lone Gunmen editorial collective and the most likely to joke with Mulder or invite him to join him on the internet to nitpick the scientific inaccuracies of the latest science fiction shows. Langly automatically records every incoming call, and he is as conversant as is compadres with current conspiracy theories. Although he is ready with a laugh when Mulder's ideas get too "out there", he is still not hesitant to lie about recording his calls with Mulder. Among the Lone Gunman, truth is just as rare as trust.
