Deannie Meyer, a native Oregonian, was raised in Oregon, Idaho, and Missouri. She studied at Universities in Idaho, Colorado, Washington State and California. She was awarded her Associate of Arts degree from Shasta College in Redding, California and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. A mother and grandmother, she has worked her love of the making of art around her love for her family.

Her often cropped images reveal a fascination with form and contrast. Most of her recent paintings are watercolors with dramatic light and shadow areas. Her work has received a variety of awards and appeared in many juried shows, including the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society's juried show.
