Troop S Newsletter May 2003 ~*~*~*~ Back to Troop S main

Hello Everyone!

Troop S has had a very busy, but fun, past couple of months.  We have been practicing, practicing, and practicing for the upcoming regimental show.  We have really been working hard, and perfecting everything before the show.  Other than preparing for the show, Troop S has had Birthdays, theme nights, and even a promotion.

There were TONS of Birthdays in Troop S, so let's start off with that.  TFC Elaine MacPherson turned 12 on 1/24.  Plt. Sgt. Shana Williams who turned 16 on 2/25.  1st Sgt. April MacPherson turned 16 on 3/25.  2nd Lt. Jana Rosenberg celebrated her 16th on 3/12.  Stb. Sgt. Deanna Woodhouse, who turned 15 on 3/14.  Stb. Sgt. Chris Farmer turned 17 on 5/4.  A great big Happy Birthday to all of you, and I hope I didn't forget anyone.

Every third Wednesday of the month Troop S has something we call "theme night."  It's where everyone has to dress under a certain theme, whether it's pajama night, or favorite color night, or anything else you can think of.  These past couple of months we have had  "sports night," and "nerd and dork night" (AKA look like Steve Urkle night, or at least that was the point.)  On sports night we were all supposed to dress up to display our favorite sport.  There was a baseball player, a few football fans, a Blue Shadow rider (how clever), an Olympic rider, a couch potato, and many more.  Dork night was fun; it was interesting to see what everyone wore (and how funny we all looked.)

Now on to the promotion.  Trooper Mary Ortiz was promoted to TFC Mary Ortiz, and very much deserved it.  Great job Mary, have fun being a TFC, and congrats!

That is all for now.  I want to wish all the troops good luck in the Regimental Show, and have fun.  Goodbye all, and see you all at the show.

Until Next Time,

1st Sergeant April MacPherson
