The Senior
Advanced Team finally made our first public
performance on May 31st at the
Regimental Horseshow.
We were scheduled to perform our long
program but with the incredibly hot weather and
the long show day we opted to perform the shorter
program. The
performance went well and the crowd seemed to
enjoy it.
Congratulations
to all of the troops on yet another great show.
From inspection, to equitation, to drill,
the troops all looked great.
Troop R you’re the tops in equitation,
and Troop H, way to drill!
Sgt. Heckel keep up the fine work, and team
congratulations to Col. Chefalo and Lt. Andersen
on your very special awards.
The Senior
Team has had to make a few adjustments in
positions lately.
Colonel Lucy Radike, an American flag in
our long program, had a run in with a bale of hay
that resulted in a crushed knee.
Surgery was to follow and the Colonel is
sidelined for quite awhile.
We wish her a speedy recovery.
Lucky for
us some new recruits have arrived just in time.
The team welcomes the addition of Captain
Marissa Herrera, Lt. Emily Pock, and Lt Andrea
Andersen to the team.
You’ve done a terrific job coming in at a
hectic time.
The Senior
Team made the big commitment in May to go along
with the Junior Team to compete in Reno at the
Western States Championships in June.
It’s a lot of work to take two teams but
it should be a lot of fun as well.
Congratulations to Captain
Austin on your new mount, after Reno we will have
the time to introduce him properly to
drill. Maybe someday Lt. Col. Singer will finally
find her horse as well.
