This page details of our trip to Florida.
Dates: Saturday, March 3, 2001 to Sunday, March 11, 2001.
It was a 9 day trip, Satuday to Sunday.
There was 3 of us going, Cameron, Adam and Jason.
We drove my car, taking turns driving.
The drive was supost to be about 24 hours each way.
We have 7 days at our Resort.
Check in at 4 pm Sunday, check out 10 am Sunday.
We stayed at :
Fairchild Cypress Resort.
Road trip
The trip started Saturday March 3, 2001 at 2 pm, we left Walmart after geting last minute items.
It was 3 tanks of gas, and we fill up some where in Florida to find the resort.
Monday, we got up in the morning had breakfast.
We drove across the 407 to 410, it cost me 4 bucks.
The map book we were using told us to take the QEW to Niagra Falls border.
We crossed at Fort Erie border into New York.
The trip down there was about 2500 kms.
Day 2 - Sunday, March 4
We arived in Florida at 9 am, which wasd about 19 hours so far.
We arived in Kissamme, pronowsed "kizz-me" not Kiss-a-Me, and drove around for 2 hours
tring to find the resort, most of it was in the correct direction, Kissamme is a big tourist city
with lots of traffic in the construction zones.
We arived at the Fairchild resort at 1 pm and checked in, with no problems.
We went shopping for our food for the week.
We finished the day off by going for a swim and a hot tub in one of the 2 pools at the resort.
Day 3 - Monday, March 5
Went to the resorts meet and greet, to find out the resorts week acivities.
Then we when across the street to one of the flea markets.
We shopped around there for a while, looking at all the cool and illegal things you can get and buy
there. huge knives and swords, brass knuckles with knives in them, tatoo in the flea market.
When we were done shopping there we when back to the resort, to eat and go for a swim.
We spent most of the rest of the day just resting by the pool sun tanning and swimming.
After that we went to the activiy center and purched a spot to go on the bus to the cassino cruise.
Day 4 - Tuesday, March 6
We went to one of the closest tourst booths to buy park tickets.
We got Adventure Island, the new park of Universial Studio. It cost 48 dollars American, for the one day.
We when to the park for the day.
There were not many rides but the one there were, were bigger and faster.
the park closed a 7 pm, so we went back to the resort.
The rest of the afternoon we sat pool side.
Day 5 - Wednesday, March 7
Sat aroung the pool,
went to the Florida Mall for shopping.
Day 6 - Thursday, March 8
Sat around the pool all day,
go sun burned, felt sick and tried all night.
The Casino Cruise.
It was 8 dollars American for the bus ride there, a buffey dinner, and free drinks
if you were gambling, or near your friend who was gambling.
Got back after 2 am, I was very tired and cold from the sun burn,
we went down
to the pool and the gate was locked, so I went back to or room and went to sleep.
Adam and Cameron hopped the fence to go in the hot tub.
Day 7 - Friday, March 9
Sleeped in all day, got up went to the pool to relax.
That night, after 10 pm, we went to
Disney Island walk, which is the Disney's Night clubs, for parting and drinking.
Day 8 - Saturday,March 10
Sleeped in most of the day again.
Go up when to the pool side again to sun tan for most
of the afternoon, except that is was mostly cloudy.
Packed up and checked out of the resort and 6 pm.
Day 9 - Sunday, March 11
After driving all night,
It was about 8 am, north Pencelvaina we hit a snow storm, and driving slowed us down for about 1 hour.
We arived at the Canada border aout 11 am, and crossed with no problems.
We stoped at the first exit for Tim Hortons coffie and gas.
I arived in home after 2 pm.
