Warrior Salubri/Salubri Antitribu

"Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage."
--Smashing Pumpkins

[NOTE: The Warrior Salubri and Salubri Antitribu are two different bloodlines, with different goals and different weaknesses. However, they are very similar, and they both serve the same function. There is more in common between the two bloodlines than there is between the Dark Ages and modern versions of some clans that we could name.]

Nickname: Cyclops, Unicorns, (Antitribu: Furies)

Antediluvian: Saulot. Just like the main clan.

Known for: Antitribu: The main clan Salubri won't let you forget that a long time ago, a bunch of mean, cruel and nasty sorcerers diablerized their Antediluvian. The Salubri Antitribu won't let you forget either, but they aren't content to do as their cousins and just whine about it. As their nickname implies, they are furious. Once thought dead, the Warrior Salubri have returned in force, and this time they don't have all of those petty little things like the search for Golconda to impede them. Those who meet them with no knowledge of the original Warrior Salubri have a hard time reconciling these violently angry soldiers with the mental schema of the pacifistic main clan.
(Dark Ages) Warrior Salubri: The Warrior Salubri are old-fashioned knights in the noblest sense. They cling to their ideals of chivalry and justice, and manage to reconcile their search for Golconda with their job as Saulot's soldiers. They are advisors, war-leaders, the protectors of the innocent and the oppressed, demon hunters extrodinaire, and in the eyes of many Kindred who predate the purge, some of the most enlightened members of the Cainite race. None of that means very much to the back-stabbing Kindred once the Tremere purge starts.

Positions in the Sabbat: (Antitribu only) Most Furies are of relatively low generation, and all are fairly recent recruits. Few have enough age to gain any political knowledge or power, which is just as well, since their job is to fight, not to play politics. The Furies have a very high attrition rate, as their endless crusade takes a toll, and many fall to the Tremere or the Camarilla within the first few nights of unlife. Those that do manage to survive may take roles in packs, such as ducti or priests, or they may join the Black Hand, but the vast majority of office-holding Salubri Antitribu may be found among the ranks of the paladins.

Weakness: Antitribu: The Furies lead violent unlives, and their blood-lust takes a toll on their state of mind--they need violence and aggression even when feeding. Any blood that is not taken by force or from the body of a defeated foe isn't nourishing, and probably doesn't taste very good.
Dark Ages Warriors: The Warrior Salubri suffer a similar curse as their Healer brethren, but are allowed to take advantage of their martial abilities. Combat knowledge isn't particularly useful if you cannot hurt someone. Instead of the ban on injuring someone, a Warrior Salubri must instead work never to turn down a plea for help, or let harm befall an innocent. Doing so brings consequences similar to those that come when a Healer harms another: the spiral into the Abyss has now officially started!

Disciplines: Auspex, Fortitude, Valeren. That's Warrior Valeren. Obviously.
