Mystery of the Keys RevealedI ran after Centado as fast as I could, my chest heaving and my legs feeling like lead as my lungs burned. He was moving quickly down the halls as I ran after him. We soon arrived to a room made completly of stone and the bones of the damned. Centado stopped and looked at me as he looked around the room as if in fear as I drew out my sword."Let her go Centado, you've lost. All the keys are gone and we've already stopped your army." I said looking at him nervously as his dagger pressed against Christa. "Cedrick please, help me" she screamed in fear. "He can't help you, he is deluded by his own image, he doesn't understand that I have won this fight and this war." said Centado in reply to Christa. "Wrong." said Angel coming behind me to my right with his weapons in his hands."Theirs no way you can get out of here." "Admit it, you've lost" said Nigel coming to my left. Centado looked in fear as my allies came and stood by my side. Than he began to chuckle lightly and than begin to laugh loudly. "Do you fools actually think I am so blind. I have planned all of this, even centuries before you were born. You three being here, all of you being here was done by me. Let me show you" he said as a dark red light started shinging around Christa. The very stones of the room began to tear apart and float away, becoming nothing as they vaporized. I looked around as the room around us began to fall apart, giving life to the hell all around us. "You see, this is where the keys must be activated. In this very area" he said as the ground began to change and give form to a demonic symbol. "Also, all I need to do is have one of the keys willingly activate and the others will do so as well." he said as he pointed to Nigel who floated in the air and his weapons flew away as a light began to pass through him. "Christa..why did you..." I asked muttering in confusion as the aura of the key still surrounded her. "Like I said, I planned all this long ago. Think Cedrick, how else could I get you all here, to come searching willingly. Simple, use a little bait." he said as he released Christa who smiled a devilish smile. I looked at Angel as he began to float into the air, the key inside him being activated as well as the very life of Nigel and Angel were being sucked out of them.A doorway opened up behind Centado and it began to grow larger and larger with each passing moment, the very life of Nigel and Angel forcing it open. "Christa.....how..why?" I asked not willing to believe his words. "It's simple Cedrick, when your dead, your body a lifeless instrument. Your soul tortured with being alone. How could I not make a deal with the devil in order to be with you again. I came back because of Centado, because I wanted to be with you." she said walking towards me. "And damned the world in the process." I said angrily as she walked closer and closer. I was confused at what to do, the woman of my life betraying the world for love. "Isn't it worth it if we can be together again." she said her hand on mine as she forced my sword down. "Thats why you weren't at the grave. You were brought back to life, not by god but by Centado. But how?" I said as she leaned in closer and hugged me. "Does it matter Cedrick, we're together again, thats all that matters to me." "...n..no. It's all that matters to me." I said hugging her back tightly."I love you Christa." I said as a tear ran down my cheek. I knew what I had to do. "I love you too Cedrick" she said as her face changed into that of a vampire.Her fangs nearing my neck. "We'll be together, forever." she said. All of my heart and soul wanting it to happen but I knew their was only one way to shut down the growing gateway which would destroy the world. I shut my eyes tightly than thrust my sword into her heart as I held her tightly. More tears streaming down my face as I gently layed her on the ground. Her face in shock as it changed to its angelic self . "I'm....so..sorry...I just...wanted to be.....with....you.........." she said as her eyes closed. "I know....I know" I said laying her head down as I sat their on my knees. The red aura around her fading as the lights around Angel and Nigel began to fade and they fell to the ground. The gateway clashing and closing fiercely as they did. I just stared at Christa's face, everything around me uninterested in anything around me. "Centado....he's gone" Nigel said looking around. "Cedrick....I'm sorry" said Angel putting a hand on my shoulder. I swiftly turned around, pushing him away. "Leave me...go on, get out of here." I said, my emotions tearing me apart. "Cedrick, I understand how you feel." said Nigel walking towards me. "You don't understand anything, now get away demon . I said get away." I yelled to my friends as I fell to my knees and held Christa to my body. My friends walking away, leaving me to be as I stayed in this hell.Centado was gone, maybe on Earth through the crashing gateway. All I knew was that I wanted to be just like I felt...alone..terribly alone.
