The Crashing GateBoth Angel and I leapt at Centado. My sword slashing at him as Angel tried to claw the dark lord. Centado dodged are attacks easily as he leaped back, far from our reach as his hands ignited with energy. They glowed with a powerful and vibrant color of red with swirls of black in them. He slammed his hands together and the energy moved forward forming his twisted version of my sword. As he grabbed the hilt of his sword he moved his other hand away from the energy sword to form another one.Angel leapt at Centado , his wings spreading as he launched towards him like a missile. Centado quickly moved out of the way, his sword flashing rapidly. Slashing at the falling Angel and leaping out of the way before he hit. I saw Angel slam against a wall, his wings badly cut as was his shoulder but he still stood up from the rubble of the crumbled wall to fight Centado. Centado stood, staring at Angel , his back to me. I leapt at him, my sword intent on driving into his flesh. I brought it down in a downward strike but Centado sensed me and turned around, bringing his two swords up to block my stirke. As our swords slammed together , causing a gigantic spark of energy , Angel came up behind Centado and grabbed him and threw him across the church. Centado flew hard and far but his body faded into mist as he went. Angel and I looked around, trying to find the dark lord. I turned around to see one of Centado's swords swing towards my head. I didn't have time to block or move as it moved swiftly towards me. Than I heard a loud sound of two pieces of metal slamming towards each other. I looked to see Will holding his scythe against Centado's sword, saving my life. Centado , however, quickly hit Wills scythe from his hand and twirled around, kicking him with a powerful sidekick into a wall. He than turned back to me, twirling around as his sword swung towards my head again. This time I blocked it as he quickly began slamming his two swords at me. I blocked as fast as I could, his two blades versus my one. I dodged and moved , my sword moving with a quick and fluid motion as I tried to fight off my attacker. As we fought I felt a sting in my shoulder and than across my chest. I leaped back, and looked down at myself to see my body cut cleanly in those areas. "Your good Cedrick, but not good enough to stop me." he said as he twirled his swords around himself. The anger coursed in my blood, I had to stop Centado the fate of the world depended on it. I had fought so long and so hard that I had almost given up hope of succeeding. But after I came so far I couldn't give up, their was still a chance, their was still hope. Centado than ran towards me, both his swords ready to strike, just than Angel leapt at him, slamming hard into his body. Centado was hit hard but quickly threw Angel aside like a rag doll. He than looked back at me but his face seemed to change, he seemed to be growing weaker. "Missing something?" said Angel in his gruff voice as he held up the rune in his hand. Centado looked shocked but still flowed with immense power. "Smash it, Angel." yelled Will from across the church. Angel picked up a stone and quickly slammed the rune to pieces. It shattered into thousands of pieces of glowing magic as it drifted away. All our hearts leapt with joy, we had won, we had saved the world. We all looked about our surrounding, seeing that nothing had changed but Centado's power. He began laughing as we all realized that it didn't work. Our plan to save the world by destroying the rune had failed. Their was nothing we could do to stop our two planes from merging. "You fools, what has been done cannot be undone. Cedrick, it is time this battle ends now. " he said moving his swords together to form one mighty sword. He looked at me hard, his eyes meeting mine. I threw off my tattered and torn shirt as I readied myself for the fight. Both of us leapt at each other, our swords locking as a small shattering boom was heard. I than sent a front kick to his stomache, stunning him as I twirled around, tripping him. He fell to the ground but quickly leapt up, bringing his sword down, I moved out the way and leapt forward, slashing across his chest. My body fueled no longer with hope but with failing despair. If the world was to be damned I was going to make sure that Centado would not be their to rule it. He would not govern over the souls of the lost, he would not have Christa. I moved behind him and sent my knee crashing into his back, as he toppled forward he turned suddenly and slashed me across the chest again. I fell back stunned, my legs giving out under me as I fell. I saw Centado leap high into the air, his sword brandishing my blood as a trophy. I had to act quickly and fast. I rolled out the way and slammmed my sword into the ground, yelling "HOLLYY.....BLASSSTTT!!!!" the white and powerful energy flowed from me. My sword sucking the very energy from the world, using me as it's conductor and unleashing it's fury onto the evil around me. Centado flew back, his body being burnt by the overpowering energy of the world, he fell into rubble. The bodies of his demons turned to ashes as the wave of energy passed over them. "Cedrick, we have to stop the worlds from merging. " I heard Bishop yell to me from afar. I now understood what I had to do, I stood up, spreading my arms high and wide. Allowing the energy of the world to flow through me to close the massive gateway. I felt the energy surround my entire body, flowig through me,electrifying my cells with power. The energy flowed from my arms, flying high into the sky, spreading over the massive gateway and wrapping itself around it. Soon I felt the door begin to close but not at a price, soon I found that the overpowering energy of the earth began to overload my body. I felt my body begin to give way as it soaked in too much power. Too my horror I than saw Centado burst from the rubble, His body badly burnt and damaged from my attack. Bishops jumped in his way, swinging his bat at his head. Centado dodged it and threw Bishop aside and continued towards me. I couldn't move, I couldn't act but knew I had to hold on, I knew the doorway would be closed soon. Soon Centado was about 3 meters away and he again formed a sword in his hands. All of a sudden I saw Bishop leap onto his back, trying to stop him but Centado again grabbed him and slammed him hard into the ground next to me. His body making a huge indent in the ground. Centado than leaped forward, his sword glistening as it dove into my stomache and he lifted me up. I was still drawing power from the world so the energy flowed through his sword, causing him to scream in pain. I opened my eyes wide as the power shot out from it, my mouth open to scream also shot out with the white energy as I felt my cells being torn apart but I continued to allow the energy to flow through me. Both Centado and I had done what we had thought was necessary for our own causes and had given ourselves up to the fates for our destiny. As the gate way crashed to a close a giganctic explosion ensued. Not one of smoke and heat but one of blazing white light that flashed around the entire world. The power behind it seemed so powerful that the world began to shake and shudder as if feeling the stinging blow. Than the whiteness faded away, and the blue sky could once again be seen.
