PAYGESA - KOREA
Pagyesa is built on a thickly forested slope in northeast Daegu by Royal Preceptor Simjiwangsa of the Silla Kingdom in 804. It was reconstructed by the Buddhist priest, Gyegwanbeopsa in 1605, and again rebuilt by the Buddhist Monk, Hyeon-ungjosa in 1695. It is said that King Yeongjo was born thanks to a hundred-day prayer by a Buddhist Teacher who then stayed in the Pagyesa .
