This movie
sells itself with a tantilizing cover box,
which it doesn't exactly live up to. The
flick pretends that it's a true story, but it
is not. It's a serial killer tale that takes
place in Texarkana, 1946. A masked man that
must have been the inspiration for the look
of Jason in Friday the 13th Part II (grain
bag on the head with a hole for an eye, tied
around the neck w/ a rope), is killing locals
who dare go to lovers lane. It's mostly about
the chase of this unnamed killer, although
there are a few attack scenes that are good
because of their realness. If you like true
crime type stories, rent this. But again
don't expect what the cover box offers. I've
heard that you can catch a cameraman in the
train-chase scene- I didn't catch it. There
are a lot of local-yokel types that make you
believe the story, but it's not exactly fast.
An okay choice overall, but not as good as I
hoped.
