Only two
words describe this movie- Austrailian and
Awful (some would say, in the movie world,
what's the difference?). This
zombie-movie-of-the-late-50's parody has 0
laughs and 0 scares, although it attempts
both. It's characters are bizarre (in a bad
way) and it's production values, plot, and
script su...su...suck! I made a better movie
than this when I was 7 in my backyard. Don't
rent this. Period. Yes, it has cult status.
For what reason is beyond me- it's not in any
way entertaining. It's empty plot is about
Lionel, his love interest Paquita, his
mother, and a Sumatran Rat Monkey that bites
people and they become zombies. There is such
stomach-turning elements as zombie sex, which
yeilds a zombie baby, which yeilds a
taking-zombie-baby-for-a-stroller-ride scene
that made me cringe. It is said to be one of
the goriest flicks out there- yeah, right!
There is about average gore, all used stupidy
and all fake looking, albeit intentional.
Trust Mistershoes- don't pay money to see
this trash- in fact, go to your local video
store, take their copy of Dead Alive, and ut
it behind a cover box where no one will ever
find it- I suggest Barb Wire or Pregnant
Workout tapes.
