Hello again! Our companion from earlier on is now handing out freebies to visitors passing through the ADV Films booth (and to folks like me stuck in the FIST OF THE NORTH STAR autograph line)!

While waiting for Buronson (creator of HOKUTO NO KEN) to begin signing, there's not much else to occupy my time except for some chit-chat with this ADV cheerleader (a pleasant distraction, to say the least)!

Trapped in the long procession for the only ATM machine in the convention hall, this enticing White Mage and Red Mage pair from the original FINAL FANTASY game gladly welcomes a photo opportunity!

It occurs to me that this White Mage's tunic might be one size too small, but I won't be the one who discourages her from wearing a costume she obviously worked very hard on! It simply wouldn't be polite, you know?

"Tira Misu?" I ask quizzically as she strolls past. The next thing I know, this kinky BAKURETSU HUNTER OVA dominatrix engulfs me in a great big *glomp* just for recognizing her character! I guess the depraved otakus who ran my old anime club deserve a salute for screening this show some ages ago...

Let that be a lesson to all you guys! It pays to keep track of as much anime as possible, even if you're not particularly a fan of certain titles. Also, common courtesy and respect will bring their own rewards... but most likely you've stopped paying attention to me by now!

At this point I'm late for another panel, but a grinning old lady grabs my hand and volunteers to take a photo of us two. After she drags me back to a still-beaming Tira, I shrug my shoulders and cave in to this one final request. Sigh, the sacrifices a gentleman must make!

Hurrying now to my next autograph session, I pause just briefly enough to capture this winsome Lenneth Valkyrie from the VALKYRIE PROFILE role-playing game on "film" (well, these days the term 'SmartCard' would be more accurate!

After 5 years of attending AX, I finally win my first sketch from a Guest Of Honor raffle! But since the artist Toshiharu Murata could draw so effortlessly, he ends up sketching for almost everyone in line, erasing any special distinction that my HELLSING illustration of Alucard might have had!

|
|
But my raffle win does scores points for me in the end, since I now could go back in line and request a second picture! This time, I ask a burned-out Murata-san (obviously disgusted with drawing Alucard over and over again by now) to compose any other image that pops into his head...
|
|
|
And the hilarious and priceless result is a sketch of Victoria Ceres from HELLSING picking her nose! You can just imagine Murata-san shouting out to the world "I AM NOT BITTER!" with this artwork, don't you think?

X-Mas has definitely arrived early this year! A coquettish Otohime Mutsumi (Lisa) from the LOVE HINA Winter Special coyly arches her back against a table for the cameraman!

Ah-rah-rah? This Mutsumi plainly isn't as shy as she initially appears! And is she about to make a confession? Will she faint into someone's arms? Can it get any better than this?

Yes! Yes, it can! (Obviously, I must have been a very good boy, or maybe it doesn't really matter to Naru & Mitsumi if I have been naughty or nice!)

Apparently, they're supposed to be Hitomi and Lisa from DEAD OR ALIVE X-TREME BEACH VOLLEYBALL... But if they want to loosely reference a game to justify their swimsuit wardrobe, then who am I to go try to stop them?

By process of elimination, these two must be Kasumi and Lei Fang from the same video game... although you'd think they could try a little harder to get the hair styles right! (Or maybe I'm just being too picky...)

Brandon ~Beyond The Grave~ Heat has something more in mind than just protecting Mika Asagi! (These two GUNGRAVE characters could be found regularly patrolling the Geneon booth, as I recall.)

Wouldn't it be tremendously fun to trade some back and forth moves with this shapely Sonsaku Hakufu from the BANKUNYU HYPER-BATTLE IKKI TOUSEN fighting (and fan-service) anime?

Thankfully, this attractive cosplayer (undoubtedly a spokesperson for Geneon) reveals that she isn't anywhere as ditzy as the bumbling, air-headed character she portrays!

Without any trees around to camouflage her this time, this Caroline from the VAMPIRE HUNTER D (BLOODLUST) MOVIE sticks out in the crowd!

Believe it or not, she is cosplaying as the ninja Uzumaki NARUTO (when he's performs the Oiroke no Jutsu ninjutsu technique that briefly transforms himself into a naked woman in order to throw off his opponents)!

Awesome! Even though he could barely walk (poor dude), you got to tip your hat off to this Smokescreen from TRANFORMERS! He even has all the decals for the Subaru Impreza WRC (the vehicle which his robot morphs into)!

More than meets the eye! Only by disabling the flash on my camera could you get a clearer view of the blazing lighting system illuminating from his costume! This hombre doesn't miss a trick! Top-notch work, my man!

Ah, the two FINAL FANTASY Mages are finally joined with a female Fighter (who every gamer knows is an absolutely vital member to any true role-playing party!

I cannot help but blush a little when this willowy FF1 Fighter maintains steady eye contact with my lens, despite the fact that other people are still taking snapshots of her group!

The Geneon booth can boast about their own exclusive autograph sessions inside the Exhibit Hall, including one featuring LAST EXILE character designer Range Murata!

Lucky! Murata-san ignores Geneon's policy (which discourages art requests) and doodles a small Claus Valca (LAST EXILE) to compliment the mini-sketch of Lavi Hed that I received from his good friend Minoru Murao earlier on!
