Consecration to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus

Oh dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give You my whole heart. I see Your Heart on fire for love of me. I want to be in this fiery furnace and know the love of God. Take me, Jesus. Use me as Your little servant to spread Your love to this world. I give myself entirely to You and I ask the Holy Spirit to make me more like You. I want to be a little child of the Father. I give You my heart, keep me in Your Heart and teach me Your way of love. Amen

Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I, __________, give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ my person and my life, my actions, pains, and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being save to honor, love, and glorify the Sacred Heart.
This is my unchanging purpose, namely, to be all His, and to do all things for the love of Him, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing to Him.
I therefore take Thee, O Sacred Heart, to be the only object of my love, the guardian of my life, my assurance of salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement for all the faults of my life and my sure refuge at the hour of death.
Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God Thy Father, and turn away from me the strokes of His righteous anger. O Heart of love, I put all my confidence in Thee, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty; but I hope for all things from Thy goodness and bounty.
Do Thou consume in me all that can displease Thee or resist Thy holy will. Let Thy pure love imprint Thee so deeply upon my heart that I shall nevermore be able to forget Thee or to be separated from Thee. May I obtain from all Thy loving kindness the grace of having my name written in Thee, for in Thee I desire to place all my happiness and all my glory, living and dying in true bondage to Thee.

Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
           by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to Thee I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials, and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honoring and glorifying Thee. This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to Thee, and to do all for Thy love, renouncing with my whole heart all that can displease Thee.
I take Thee, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death. Be Thou, O Most Merciful Heart, my justification before God Thy Father, and screen me from His anger which I have so justly merited. I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but placing my entire confidence in Thee, O Heart of Love, I hope all from Thine infinite Goodness. Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist Thee. Imprint Thy pure love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget Thee or be separated from Thee. I beseech Thee, through Thine infinite Goodness, grant that my name be engraved upon Thy Heart, for in this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Thy devoted servants. Amen.

Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
                                                                By His Holiness, Leo XIII

My sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thy altar. We are Thine and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united with Thee, behold, each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known Thee; many, too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd. Be Thou King also of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism, and refuse not to deliver them out of darkness into the light and the Kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy toward the children of that race, once Thy chosen people. Of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a layer of redemption and of life. Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm, give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor forever. Amen.

Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Jesus, I freely consecrate myself to You and Your Most Sacred Heart. In everything I experience today – in the needs of my neighbor. In all that tests my charity and patience, in any work I must do, and any pain I suffer – may I honor and glorify You. Make my weakness Your strength and use me to bring others to You. In Your name I pray. Amen.
Act of Consecration of Priests to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Lord Jesus, you are our most loving Redeemer and a priest forever; look mercifully on us, your humble suppliants, who you have been pleased to call your friends and partakers of your priesthood. We are yours and we wish to be yours forever: therefore, to your Most Sacred Heart which you have shown to oppressed humanity as their only safe refuge, we dedicate and devote ourselves wholly to this day. You who have promised plenteous fruit in the divine ministry to those priests who are devoted to your Sacred Heart; make us, we plead, fit workers in your vineyard, truly meek and humble, filled with the spirit of devotion and patience, so fired with love for you that we shall never cease to enkindle and quicken the same fire of love in the hearts of the faithful. Renew our hearts in the fire of you love, so that from this moment on we shall desire nothing except to promote your glory and win for you the souls whom you have redeemed by your precious blood. Show your mercy, Good Shepherd, chiefly to those priest, our brethren, if there be any such, who, walking in the vanity of sense, have saddened you and your beloved Spouse, the holy Church, by their lamentable falling away from you. Grant us the grace to bring them back to your embrace, or at least, to atone for their crimes, to repair the harm they have done, and to lessen the sorrow they have caused you, by the consolation of our love. Allow each of us, finally, to pray to you in the words of Saint Augustine: “O sweet Jesus, live you in me, and let the loving coal of you love burn brightly in my spirit, and grow into a perfect conflagration; let it glow in my marrow, let it blaze up in the most secret places of my soul; in the day of my consummation let me be found totally consumed in your presence, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns forever and ever.” Amen.

Prayer and Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Lord Jesus, look upon us now as your family, gathered together to ask You to enter more fully into our life. You are our Savior and our Brother. Teach us how important we are in Your eyes. We ask You Lord, to transform us in the love of Your heart  that we may become apostles of Your love and instruments of Your peace. Make each of us aware how much our personal love means to you and what we can do to make a closer family, a stronger parish, a happier community and ________ let us bring love, understanding and faith.
In frequent Mass and communion, help us to know you better Jesus  that we may experience more deeply, the loving Friend You are. In Your loving Heart, teach us to know you better as a person that we may respond to Your love more sincerely as Your friend. For every season, for every mood be it loneliness or discouragement give us the wisdom to turn to You with complete trust.
May we come to know ourselves in the light of Your merciful love and personal affection that we will find peace in accepting ourselves as we are. May we value ourselves and others in the mirror of Your never-ending love for us as we consecrate to Your most Sacred Heart, each member of our family, including those of us who are absent and our loved ones who are deceased.
(Here mention those we would like to pray for in a special way.) . . . (After a moment’s reflection we continue with:)
Jesus, we do not want to be lukewarm Christians: Motivate us daily to become better persons, and more sincere, genuine Christians by teaching us how to love You with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength and to live through You, with You, in You, and for You. Inspire us to become everything You want us to be offering each day to You in love for it is in Your will that true happiness, meaning and value is to be found. Guide us in Your light that we may find true fulfillment in the giving of ourselves to others with an unselfish love forgiving each other’s faults, as You forgive our unselfish love forgiving each other’s faults, as You forgive our sins. Come, Lord Jesus, come, and abide with us always that in You we ever grow in a living faith, toward Christian maturity, through family love and togetherness.
