Me!

Hello there. Tis me, William J. Paquin or Bill if you want to live. I am the author of this webpage and the (very) Amatuer Photographer of the pictures featured on this page. I am 25 years old, born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

I have completed some Networking Certifications. Not enough to get a REAL job though. However, I do plan on pursuing the Tehcnological trade further. Currently I work as a Prep Cook at an Irish Pub in Kingston called The Toucan. I love music, movies, basketball, golf, computers, reading and basically outdoors kind of things. My biggest hobby is Photography. Although I took a couple years off from it, I am back at it now.

I have a cool family. A beautiful and loving girlfriend named Sarah, who you can see in pictures on this page and who has some of her own shots featured here. I also have a best friend of 20 years, Darren Smith. He is mentioned on the main page and is always there when I need him, above and beyond the call of duty. Also an adorable Ferret named Jasmine, a chow/lab named Midnight and a cat named Sasha. Hopefully there will be pics of them here soon.

This is a shot taken by Sarah on top of Folley Mountain in Westport, Ontario. I am the one on the left. Thank God it is a shot of me from the side. Despite the time I like to spend behind the camera, I do not care for being in front of it very much at all. The person on the right is the before mentioned Darren.

This is my beautiful and loving girlfriend Sarah Aileen Brant.

Anyways, enough about me!

My Camera

I use to have this pretty cool Minolta, however, during my little break from photography... it is no longer with us. This is of course the year 2000 and most SLR's these days are quite automatic. I know that they still can do semi and full manual but for a lack of funds and the desire to have as much control as I can, I purchased a used camera to replace the Minolta.

The "new" camera is made by Ricoh and I believe it is close to 15 years old. Works like new though. Hey, a few scratches to the body adds character! It does do automatic as well but I never use it and it will only do semi-auto anyhow. All the shots so far are taken with a standard 50mm lense also mae by Ricoh. However, in about a month I will have a Sigma, Pentax-K mount, 80 - 200mm lense with a macro filter, compliments of my parents for my birthday. So keep an eye open for some close and interesting shots in the near future.
