Taya: ::looks innocent:: No?

Taya: Mmmm. ::sighs softly, sitting on her own bed, taking off her
shoes::  Well, count your blessings.
Sayoko: ::closes her eyes:: ...What?
Taya: At least you've got a chance for a decent relationship with him.
Sayoko: You've got a chance with every guy you *meet* Taya.
Taya: Sex yes relationship no.
Sayoko: You've always got the chance for both.
Taya: ::shrugs:: Yeah, but what're the odds of that? ::throwing her
shoes under the bed:: 
Sayoko: It's what you *make* of that option that counts.
Taya: ::shrugs again:: Yeah, but come on, you know the guys I'm
attracted to. "Wham, bam, Arigatou Ma'am." At least Youji makes me feel
semi-special..
Sayoko: See, that's a step in the right direction. Besides, I bet a lot
of those guys would like more, and just aren't given the chance by the
girls they meet.
Taya: ::sighs::
Sayoko: Upsides and downsides to everything....
Taya: You're better off. ::pulls her blanket over her head:: ~.~
Sayoko: In your opinion. 
Taya: Why, what's an upside to my situation?
Sayoko: You're social, people like you, you meet lots of people.... You
have no idea how much I wish I could just go up to people and talk to them
like you do.
Taya: You're smart, you take care of yourself, people like you for you
and not for what you pretend to be. You're going to go somewhere in life,
and you're going to meet someone who'll love you and have a family, who
knows, maybe you've already met him. I wish I could have that kind of future.
Sayoko: You have that just as much as I do Taya.
Taya: ~.~ And you could have what I have. But I wouldn't wish it on you
for anything.
Sayoko: ::silent::
Taya: You hungry?
Sayoko: ::looks up::
Taya: There's some mochi in the fridge. Yotan brought some over while
you and Ken were out.
Sayoko: That's yours....
Taya: Help yourself, I don't want it.
Sayoko: ..... I'm going to go to the grocery store. You want anything?
Taya: Coffee.
Sayoko: ::sighs:: ....okay.
Taya: And cigarettes.
Sayoko: You know I won't buy those.
Taya: Arigatou. There's some change in my jacket-- Why not?
Sayoko: I got it. 'Cause it's bad for you, and I refuse to buy them.
Taya: If I wanna kill myself, it's my own fault.
Sayoko: ::nods, pulls on her jacket and heads out::
Taya: ::sighs::

Setting: Taya and Sayoko's dorm room, a little while later

Taya: ::in the shower:: ~.~
Youji: ::knocks on the door::
Taya: ::grabs a towel:: I'm coming, I'm coming- ::opens the door:: Did
you get the coff-- Yotan!
Youji: ::eyes her up and down:: Coffee comes later.
Taya: ^.^; D'you want to come inside?
Youji: Please. ::steps inside::
Taya: Mind if I get dressed?
Youji: Do you really want to bother..?
Taya: I was thinking maybe we could spend some time together with our
clothes on.
Youji: ::blinks, a bit taken aback:: ...Okay.
Taya: ^.^
Youji: ::stands around uncomfortably::
Taya: You can sit. ::putting clothes on::
Youji: ::sits, watching her put clothes on::
Taya: Think of it as a reverse strip tease.
Youji: ::smirks::
Taya: ::finishes dressing, sits next to him:: So... maybe we could go out.
Youji: To where?
Taya: I don't know. For a walk or maybe to the movies? ::hopeful::
Youji: ....
Taya: Or maybe for a drive?
Youji: To a club?
Taya:  Alright. ^.^
Youji: ::suave smile:: Let's go.

Sayoko: ::comes home:: I got the-- Taya?
