As you can see The South Suburban region with 71.6% non-white residents produces nearly 40 megawatts per square mile from burning fossil fuels. All the other regions combined produce only around 29 megawatts per square mile.

This map only shows fossil fuel burning plants. This is a great environmental injustice and certainly shows there is no need for another peaker plant here in this region.

(Note: San Onofre Nuclear Power plant is not included. It produces almost 30 megawatts per square mile in its region all by itself. It does not have the same negative health effects as a fossil burning plant so is not seen as a part of the environmental justice issue dealing with negative health effects from burning fossil fuels. Its main negative is what to do with the waste and radiation-entirely different issues.)
