A Wiccan’s Worst Fear

“ Prue? Prue, have you seen Phoebe?” Piper screamed
to her older sister as she ran up the stairs of the Halliwell manor. Piper
ran into Prue’s room. She wasn’t there.
“ Okay! So where’d they go? Uh…hey, they ditched me!”
Piper realized. She ran back down stairs, grabbing her keys. “ Oh those
two are gonna…” Someone pulled a hand over Piper’s mouth,
and grabbed her arms, pulling them behind her. Piper struggled to get free,
but her attacker was too strong for her. He threw her against the hallway
wall. She hit, head on, crashing to the floor. The young, black clothed
man put his foot against Piper, rolling her on her back. He laughed, looking
at the unconscious woman. The man shimmered away. Piper was left on the
floor, knocked out.
“ Hey? Wasn’t Piper supposed to be here by now?”
Phoebe asked Prue.
“ You’re right Pheebs! Maybe she’s changing clothes
for the club. My phone’s in her office. I’ll give her a call.”
“ I’d feel better knowing she’s okay…”
“ Now you’re sounding as paranoid as Piper usually
is!” Phoebe gave her sister an evil eye. “ Sorry, couldn’t
help it! I’ll be right back. You might as well start putting the chairs
down, and turning on the lights.” Prue told her, walking into Piper’s
office, shutting the door. She picked up her phone, dialing their home phone.
Prue waited for an answer. No one picked up. She decided to leave a message.
“ Piper, its Prue! I assume you’re on your way over to P3 so I
won’t leave a long message…” Prue was cut off on the phone
by a blow to the head. She dropped her phone, collapsing to the floor. The
same man that had attacked Piper walked away from Prue, opening the door.
He saw that the youngest sister had her backed turned to him. She was setting
the tables up when she heard footsteps behind her. Phoebe felt her heart
race.
“ Prue? Is that you?” The footsteps got louder. Just
as the man went to deliver a blow to Phoebe she bent down, swinging her
leg around. She knocked the stranger to the floor. “ Who are you?”
He got up, ignoring her question. “ Who are you? Answer me you bastard!”
Phoebe went to kick the man. Instead he held his hand out at Phoebe. Phoebe’s
body began to painfully vibrate. She screamed in terror. “ COLE!”
She yelled. Phoebe tried to speak again, but fell to her knees. The man
kicked Phoebe backwards. Her head hit the floor, hard. He vanished after
his success. Cole orbed into the club, seeing Phoebe down.
“ Phoebe? Are you okay?” Cole placed his hand on Phoebe’s
face, healing her nosebleed.
“ Ouch! I mean ouch!” Phoebe said. “ Yeah, I’m
okay…” She told Cole. Phoebe looked up to see Alan, Prue’s
whitelighter, grip Prue. She stumbled over to Phoebe.
“ Oh my god! Are you…” Phoebe was cut off by Leo and Piper,
orbing in. “ You got attacked too?” Piper nodded, gripping her
head. “ What the hell…”
“ So all three of us got attacked separate? By the same guy
I take it?” Prue commented.
“ Yep!” Phoebe added. “ But…I don’t get
it! He didn’t kill us! Why?”
“ Leo, Cole, Alan, can you find us some answers? We’ll
go home, check the book.”
“ Be careful you three!” Alan told the girls. The three
men orbed out. Phoebe gripped her stomach.
“ You got hit there didn’t you?”
“ What about you?” Phoebe asked Prue.
“ He smacked me on the head, I went down, everything went
black. What about you Piper?”
“ I went for the door, he grabbed me, threw me against the
wall. I knocked out. Are you guys okay?”
“ Yeah…but no. What I don’t get is…”
“ I don’t get it either Pheebs. Let’s close the
club for tonight, go home and research. Sound good?” Phoebe nodded.
“ I need an aspirin!”
“ Me two!”
“ Make that three!” Piper added. The three sisters locked
up the club, heading for the car. They just about got there when their attacker
reappeared. They froze.
“ Evening ladies!” He smirked.
“ Wow, you can talk! You’re not as dumb as I thought!”
Prue exclaimed. He grinded his teeth at her remark.
“ Now you see me…” The man vanished. He appeared
in front of Prue, slamming her against the car. “Then you don’t!”
He laughed. Piper raised her hand to freeze him, but it didn’t work.
“ Uh oh! My powers don’t work!” Piper screamed.
He grabbed Piper by the throat, hoisting her up off the ground. Piper struggled
to break free of the man’s grasp. Phoebe tried to kick the man again
but received the same painful vibration through her body.
“ Nice try witch! You’re no match!” He threw Piper
against the side of the car.
“ I can’t believe how weak you are! It’s a joke!” He
vanished again. Prue stumbled over to her sisters.
“ Ouch again!” Phoebe grumbled. She sat up. “ How
come he throws the power boost at me?” Phoebe and Prue pulled Piper
upright. “ Honey, you okay?” Piper was still trying to recover
from the hit.
“ Phoebe…” Prue held her hand up.
“ How many fingers am I holding up?” Piper brushed her
sister’s hand away.
“ Not funny!” Prue couldn’t help but chuckle at
Piper’s comment.
“ Hey, at least he doesn’t use his powers on you! That
vibration power hurts like a bitch!” Phoebe griped.
“ What?”
“ It’s like, every time I get near the guy he uses this
really painful power on me! You experience it! You’ll know what I mean!”
Phoebe got up, helping Piper up. “ Let’s get in the car fast!
I don’t want to meet that guy again tonight!”
“ Same here!” Piper exclaimed. They quickly hopped in
Prue’s car, heading home. As soon as they got in the drive at the manor,
they parked and ran for the house. “ Attic!” Piper called.
“ Yep!” Prue agreed. She ran up the stairs as Phoebe
and Piper went to the kitchen for ice. Again, the man appeared in front
of Prue, kicking her down the stairs. Piper and Phoebe immediately ran to
their sister. Phoebe looked up. She forced her anger into her hand. Phoebe
threw a lightning ball at the man. He ducked.
“ Damn you!” Phoebe yelled, throwing another jolt. He
ducked that one too.
“ At least you’re making an attempt!” Phoebe threw
a third jolt, but he backfired back to Piper and her. Piper froze it just
in time. “ Oh well, I can’t blame you for trying!” He vanished
yet again. Phoebe destroyed the jolt with another jolt. They grabbed Prue,
carrying her to the family room, setting her on the couch. Prue started
to gain consciousness.
“ He’s really pissing me off!” Phoebe growled.
“ Easy there, Pheebs!” Piper told her. Prue slowly opened
her eyes.
“ He’s gonna get it!” Prue groaned.
“ Tell me about it! Oh no!”
“ What Phoebe?”
“ I used my powers! Dammit!” Phoebe yelled.
“ Don’t worry Pheebs, okay?” Piper gripped Phoebe’s
shoulder. All three girls screamed for their whitelighters. They appeared
shortly after. “ About time!”
“ Sorry Piper…” Leo looked over at Prue. “
You were attacked again?”
“ Then Prue was attacked a third time, trying to get to the
attic!” Phoebe explained. Cole gripped Phoebe tight. “ I used
my powers…”
“ You shouldn’t worry about that power Phoebe. You are
using it for good right?”
“ But Cole, it comes from anger! From rage that’s inside,
that builds up!” Phoebe argued.
“ Like I said Phoebe, it’s okay!”
“ Piper’s right Phoebe.” Prue went to stand up,
but collapsed back onto the couch.
“ PRUE!” Phoebe and Piper screamed.
“ I got the wind knocked out of me with the stairs! I’m
okay.” Prue told them.
“ We have some good news, and some bad. Which do you want
first?” Alan asked the girls.
“ Surprise us!” Phoebe told Alan.
“ Bad news, this guy has never met a witch he couldn’t
destroy. Good news, his name as Draxus. He’s a very powerful darklighter.
Instead of trying to kill you with his powers, he kills you from the inside.
He manipulates your mind till you feel like you’re powerless against
him. That’s when he fills your mind with dark thoughts, and sends you
over the edge. Then he turns you into a darklighter. The thing is, he’s
not afraid of your lineage, or your power. Prue and Piper, your powers won’t
work because they’re active. Phoebe, your powers are passive, and just
like his your powers are of the mind more than the body. That’s why
you’re stunned every time you get to close to him.”
“ So where’s the good news?” Phoebe gripes.
“ The power of three can destroy him. But, not the ‘Charmed’
power of three. Your bond as sisters is your tri power. You use that against
him. It will destroy him. We don’t know anything else.”
“ So let me get this straight…we use are inner power
not our outer power?”
“ Easier said than done!” Piper exclaims.
“ We’re being called…we’ll be back!” Leo
tells them. They orb out.
“ Does anyone get what they said?”
“ Some what…or not.” Phoebe nods. “ I think
that every time we join hands to chant we bind our selves to each other.
Make sense?” Prue shook her head.
“ Okay, well when we stand together in tough situations we link to
each other. Our love and trust, our bond, is our inner power!” Phoebe
explains. Phoebe’s startled by the man that appears before her.
“ I’ve had my fun…you’re first to go!”
He growls, using his powers on Phoebe again as she screams in pain. Prue
and Piper try to run to Phoebe but the man grabs her, disappearing.
“ Oh god! Phoebe! Oh god!” Prue panics. “ Where
is she?”
“ Map…pendulum…Phoebe…” Piper gasps.
Phoebe and her attacker reappear at the top of Twin Peaks. He
throws her down. Phoebe recovers from the hit, getting to her knees. The
man grabs her neck, pulling her off the ground. She begins to feel the vibrations
again.
“ You’re alone witch! No one can help you…you know
it! I know it!” He laughs at her. Phoebe cries out in pain. “
You’re absolutely powerless!” Phoebe gathers up the little strength
she has kicking him in the face. “ Stupid witch!” He backhands
Phoebe, knocking her to the ground again. Phoebe stays down this time. “
What do we have here?” He grabs the necklace off of Phoebe that Prue
had given to her for her birthday. “ Enjoy your time here! I’ll
be back!” He vanishes. Phoebe lays there, helpless. She closes her
eyes, focussing on her sisters.
“ Prue…Piper…help…” She begs, passing
out.
Prue and Piper hear Phoebe’s cry for help. They look at
each other. Suddenly, Piper is knocked against the kitchen counter. Prue
tries to run to her, but is grabbed from behind. The man holds up Phoebe’s
necklace. Prue’s eyes widen.
“ Look familiar?” He laughs. Prue couldn’t break
free, as he disappears with her this time. He reappears next to Phoebe,
slamming Prue against the ground. Prue doubles over in pain; then looks
at Phoebe. She notices a black ring of smoke hovering over her little sister.
Prue reaches for Phoebe, but the man kicks her in the chest. “ Not
so fast!” He kicks her again. Prue sees a boulder next to her leg.
She concentrates her powers, tossing it at the man’s face. He falls
backwards, hitting the ground, knocking himself out. Prue sighs in relief.
She reaches for Phoebe. Prue tries to grab Phoebe but is overcome by a strong
power forced at her. Prue’s body starts to vibrate as she howls in
pain, falling back down. She too, passes out. Alan and Cole appear before
the two girls, grabbing them and orbing back to the manor. They orb into
the kitchen. Piper looks up at them. She stumbles over to her two sisters.
Cole heals Phoebe, as Alan heals Prue. They gasp for air, sitting
up.
“ Oh my…we’re okay!” Prue stammers. Piper grabs
her two sisters, embracing them.
“ I thought I’d never see you two…”
“ We’re okay Piper. Aren’t we Prue?”
“ Yep. Hey, I hit Draxus with a rock! Is he still…”
“ He’s out for the count Prue! At least for now.”
Prue sits back. Relieved. Piper grabs Prue and Phoebe’s hands.
“ Let’s finish him, while we have the chance!” Piper
exclaims. They nod in agreement. “ Can you guys orb us?” They
grab their guys as everyone disappears, then reappears in front of Draxus.
“ Hi there!”
“ You witches will pay!”
“ I don’t think so pal!” Phoebe tells him. The sisters
grip hands, chanting, “ The power of three will set us free, the power
of three will set us free, the power of three will set us free!” Draxus
sees the smoke surround him as the girls keep chanting.
“ No! It’s not possible! NO!” He screams as flames
engulf him. He burst into pieces. The sisters collapse in each other’s
arms.
“ Demon’s dead! I say we party!” Phoebe yells. Prue
and Piper join in.
“ OH YEAH!” Leo grabs Piper, Alan grabs Prue, and Cole
grabs Phoebe. They orb to Piper’s club, turning on the music.
“ Another day huh guys?” Prue asks.
“ I need a vacation!” Piper laughs. Everyone joins in.
