Jurassic Park 3
There's something about a good action flick that just makes the day go better. Jurassic
Park 3 qualifies as a good fun trip to the movies.
A young boy is stranded on one of the 2 islands that have dinosaurs on them. His
parents hire Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) to take them on a tour of the island, but
of course they are there to find him. They land, against Dr. Grant's advice and
are immediately chased by dinosaurs.
This film doesn't stop to let the watcher think. If there was time to think a few
small plot holes would become obvious, but it was fun anyway. I jumped in my seat
quite often, and admired the ingenuity of the characters too.
It's not a great film, but it is a fun film. It also stars the wonderful William
H. Macy who is a treat to watch, and the interesting Tea Leoni as his wife.
A point that I found quite interesting was that all the characters with guns were
killed off quite quickly. I guess dinosaurs don't like guns either? The survivors
had to use their wits and not bullets.
A fun flick, a treat for a rainy day. Very enjoyable.
On the Stella Starstruck scale it gets ***1/2 out of five. If you are interested
