Cool but sunny. Nice day.

I surprised myself this morning and got up early for me. I went through to the living room, looking for news, but instead found Masayoshi Yamazaki on BS 2. That was a good thing. When I first came to Japan, I watched a lot of J-Pop and it was mostly poncey young men in spangles dancing around like third-rate Michael Jackson wanna-bes. There was on exception. Masayoshi Yamazaki. A singer/songwriter who was actually talented and didn't dance around. Anyway, he was on doing an acoustic version of a song from around the time I came over. That was nice. He slightly spoiled it by trying to sing Daydream Believer afterwards, but his wasn't the worst version I've heard of the song.

I thought about going back to bed afterwards, but didn't! I stayed up, watched a bit of TV and relaxed. During the day I finally got some CD-ROMs to start working. A couple of days ago I had tried to get one to work, it's from a sample of a textbook I was given, but I didn't have any luck. I had to download more stuff and then I couldn't get that to work. However, everything came together today and it worked quite well. Hurray for that.

I decided to have taco omelette at home before going out, so I made one and watched Re:Genesis. It's a sci-fi /pseudo-scientific show from Canada...I haven't really been watching it regularly, but there were a couple of really snarky comments about George Bush on today's show that I thought were funny. I went out after that to my hairdresser's to see if I could get my hair cut today.

By the time I got there it was 4 pm and my hairdresser was busy. It looked like she was doing a perm or something, so I'll try to go tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I can get my hair done then. Fingers crossed.

I hit the mall again after that. I didn't get very much, but I did get a couple of stocking stuffers for family members. I was going to have a coffee, but the shop looked quite busy, so decided to come home instead. I had a lot of trouble getting my bike light to work, but finally it did. I think there must be a loose connection or something, because the batteries are quite new. I usually don't ride after dark so they haven't had much chance to run down yet.

I got home and about 5 minutes later, so did Fumihiko. We had a little chat, then he took a nap for a while.

We went out for dinner around 8 pm I think, and went to Cocos. It was okay. I had pasta again, and Fumihiko had some noodle dish. I had a salad with mine that was quite nice.

We came home via the grocery store, and I got some chicken for dinner tomorrow night. I'm going to do a chicken stirfry thing. I think I'll try to marinate the chicken for a bit tomorrow.

We came home and when it was time watched the housewives. It was a "set-up" show, lots of things happened so that things will happen in future episodes. However, it looks like the whole Tom and Lynnette storyline has been resolved for now...and it's about time!

That's about it. I got Fumihiko to try one of the CD-ROMs in his computer. I wanted to see how easy it was to use for a non-native English Speaker to use. If hubby had any problems, I knew that it would be more difficult for my students to use. He was mostly fine, and I think he enjoyed trying the exercises on the disk.

He went off to bed and I got the garbage ready for taking out tomorrow. Tonight I did a bit of clearing out the fridge. Yucky, but somebody's got to do it, and that somebody is me by default!

Got to go! Good night!
