Rainy day.

Today was mostly good. Mostly. It didn't start well for me. Before I went to bed last night I was reading more about the upcoming forced fingerprinting and photographing of foreigners at the airports and it got me upset. I couldn't sleep for ages, despite having taken cold medicine for night and being tired. I am almost too angry about this topic.

Fumihiko got up early and when my alarm first went off I groggily talked to him to see his plans of the day. He had to go to the hospital, but not right away. I told him I loved him, but I was going back to sleep! I went back to bed and managed another hour or so.

When I woke up, I showered and by then he was back. We talked for a while. The news wasn't great...mostly because there doesn't seem to be anything doctors can do to make it better.

We had lunch in M's Dining. It was very nice...and not too busy. They had a couple of nice soups in their soup bar, which I was happy to try. The first one I tried was Tuna and Bean Sprouts. It was an interesting mixture and I quite liked it. I'd never heard of tuna soup before. The other was Egg soup, and it was quite nice.

We came home after lunch and I did a load of laundry while we both watched Medium. I'll have to finish the laundry tomorrow.

Fumihiko dropped me off at work around 5 and I got very busy. I had to prepare lessons for the children's classes that I'm teaching tomorrow and Saturday. The Saturday one takes a lot of prep, and I'll have to work on it more tomorrow. I also ran the washing machine in the school. I have quite a few towels, but I do tend to go through quite a few in a week. However, I like them more than paper towels, so I do the laundry once every couple of weeks or so. My class went well tonight and we got through the right amount of stuff. I was glad about that.

Fumihiko picked me up and we went to Hana, a Japanese restaurant near my school. We had a pretty good meal there, we had fish. I had salmon and Fumihiko had sashimi on rice.

We came home via the grocery store to pick up stuff for Fumihiko's breakfast, and ended up getting things for tomorrow's dinner too. Fumihiko's going to make nabe. Hurray, I think. He tends to make such a mess in the kitchen when he cooks that I cringe. When one person cooks in our family, the other person usually does the clean up. I'm not great about cleaning as I go, but I often do my prep early on in the day, so when it's messy, I clean that up. He gets to do the dishes, and maybe one pan or something. When he cooks/prepares food, all the waste gets dumped in the sink. Yuck. I always put it in a bag or something and then into the garbage, or not even into a bag, just into the garbage. He can't seem to do that! I'm sure it'll be fine though. I'm an ungrateful baggage as my mother would have said! I have a good guy who's going to make me a great dinner and I'm looking the gift horse in the mouth...or something like that.

At home tonight we had coffee and watched last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy. It started in a very interesting fashion....Meredith was in bed with both Finn and Derek. It was a good episode though.

We watched Extras at midnight. It was pretty funny. It had Richard Briers and RONNIE CORBETT on it. That was fun for me. I'm going to rewatch it in the morning as I was on the net at the time.

And that was my day. I'm going to go off to bed soon. Oh, cold update before I go. I'm mostly better, but my nose does get a bit plugged up.

That's it...I'm out of here! Night.
