Hot and sunny.
Today was an odd day. I had my relaxing day all planned out, but it was nothing like I hoped. Sigh. That'll teach me to have hopes.
Fumihiko got up this morning muttering about not going to work. I told him to do what he wanted, and then fell asleep again. Just before 8:00am though, I got an email on my cell phone from my student. She had a question. I got up, and sent her a nice email back. Wasn't that good of me? I was sleeping after all. I stayed up for a while, checking email and blogs, then went back to bed around 9:00. I decided to snooze until 9:30. As I put my head down I heard a car outside and thought, wouldn't it be odd if it was Fumihiko? It was. He'd taken the day off work, but didn't go to a doctor as they were all closed. We ended up sleeping in quite late. I got up around 11:30 and hubby after 12. I guess he needed the extra rest.
We each had a banking errand to do, so we did it, then went for lunch to Gusto. It was okay. Then, we went shopping. Nothing too exciting, but a bit fun. We went to Mr. Donuts for more of their Iced Cafe au Lait, then hit the grocery store.
We came home and after a while we made dinner. Fumihiko prepared tofu for us, and I fried some chicken and set the table. Now of course, Fumihiko really should have waited until I was actually frying the chicken before he started preparing the tofu because he kept getting in my way. ARGH. Seriously, the man has no idea about whose kitchen it really is. MINE! Ba ha ha.
Anyway, dinner was quite good. We spent a quiet evening in our apartment. We didn't watch TV at all. One of the fights that we had last week was over TV. Fumihiko gets mad at me because I "have the volume up too loud". I get mad at him because he only wants to watch inane Japanese stuff. Of course, he doesn't think about the fact that EVERY TIME I watch TV when he's around he makes so much noise that no-one would be able to hear what's being said. Fine. Maybe I'll get myself a caption decoder and just tell him to bug off!
It was a quiet evening and I managed to get a couple of emails sent that I had been putting off. So, yay for me.
That's it for me, except, I'm working on changing some of the look of this blog. I haven't changed anything in ages, mostly because my last computer had "issues" for the last year. If the colour is off, or doesn't work on your browser, please let me know.
Oh, and I'd like to apologize for all the pop-ups and pop-unders. This is a free website and I guess they have to make their money somehow. I do wish it was a little more classy though.
