February 6, 2006 - Monday

Clear, but cold. Still tons of snow.

A good day, today and yesterday too. Yesterday I slept way, way in. I didn't do much. I stayed home and worked on my computer. Around 5 in the afternoon I was surprised by a buzz at the door. It was a delivery man with a beautiful bouquet of roses for me. There were a lot there. I got pink and yellow roses with a lot of beautiful mini red roses. Gorgeous! But, the card wasn't signed! Who were they from? My not so secret admirer, Fumihiko!

We went out for dinner (yakiniku) and then we went to a hotel and spent the night. It was nice.

Today we had lunch at Hotel Rich in Sakata. They had a Hokkaido buffet, so there was lots of fish. They even had "time service" crab. Fumihiko went and got us 4 crab legs. I'm glad he did, because the crab was gone quickly.

We went over to Mikawa Mall and went to see Munich. It's the new Stephen Spielberg movie. It stars Eric Bana and Ciaran Hinds, amongst a bunch of other people. It was good. Very thoughtful and thought-provoking.

We came back to Tsuruoka and Fumihiko paid for the flowers he sent me! Then, we had dinner at an izakaya. We bought a few groceries and then came home.

Fumihiko put on my dvd of Bull Durham, so we watched that and then ER. Fumihiko is back to work tomorrow so he's getting ready to go to bed soon.

I may go to City Hall tomorrow. I have to apply to get my new "Alien Registration Card" now that my birthday is past. Sigh. Wish me luck!

Night.
