Hot and sunny again.
We went to bed so late last night. Amazingly Fumihiko got up at 8:30 this morning. I didn't. I slept in very very late.
When I finally got up we went to the Washington Hotel for lunch. It was pretty good actually. It was my first time there since they renovated. It's very beautiful in there now. Fumihiko had churashi sushi and I had steak. Both were good I thnk.
We did a lot of running around after that. Fumihiko had to pay for our trip at the bank. While he was in the bank at the machine, I was singing my heart out to Total Eclipse of the Heart on the car stereo. I think I nailed it, and anyway, who cares about the weird looks I got from people who were walking by the car? We went to the post office to order traveller's cheques. I'll get them next week I think. We tried to take our dvd player, the multi-region one, in to be fixed but it would cost more to look at it than it would to replace it, so, I guess we'll replace it. Sigh. It's too bad though. I don't like junking things.
We were both thirsty, so I offered Fumihiko an option. Mr. Donut or karaoke with drink bar. Guess what he chose? Karaoke. Yeah. I got to do Total Eclipse of the Heart again and it was great! I've realized that because my singing skills aren't exactly *great*, that I am a bit of a belter when it comes to songs. The ones I love are the ones where I can just let loose and wail! Today, I wailed through I Knew You Were Waiting For Me, Better Be Good To Me, and Shameless, the Garth Brooks version. It was cathartic for me! But maybe I don't mean "wailed". I just mean a song that you can get into, forget technique and just emote! Two hours, including drink bar came to 800yen. Much cheaper than counselling!
After karaoke we went to Yamaya so I could buy some foreign foods. I got mayo, some crispbreads, snack foods, and Fumihiko got more A&W Root Beer.
We had dinner at Bronco, the new place and it was fine. Fumihiko had a big steak for dinner and I had a burger. We shared a salad which was really nice too.
We came home, played on our respective computers for a while and then watched ER. Tonight, Susan was passed over for tenure but Carter got it, and Morris made Chief Resident. Bleck! He's such a weinie.
That's it. I'll probably go to bed soon as I'm quite tired after last night's/this morning's late bed getting to. Achoo! I just sneezed. That's a change, it's usually Fumihiko who sneezes. He's been sneezing all day. He has these really huge sonic boom type sneezes that really hurt my ears. He usually warns me about the sneezes if he can, but a few times they crept up on him today and he couldn't do it. Sigh. Reminds me a bit of the Lewis Carroll poem. And with that special note...away I go or, as I seem to be using a lot of backwards talk, away go I. Night.
