Sunny and hot. This is the rainy season?
On my way to work I saw something sweet and a little amazing in this little concrete jungle I live in. On main street Tsuruoka, just opposite the place where they are doing construction I saw a couple of ducks! There's a tiny river or stream that goes under the Main Street, and on one side of the road they are building something madly, but on the other side was a mother duck and her baby, swimming in the stream, just enjoying themselves. I only saw one duckling, but there could have been more I suppose. Of all the times not to carry my digital camera. They weren't particularly pretty ducks, but not a sight you see in the middle of a city of 100,000 people either.
Work was slow and boring as I feared it would be. I did get a few things done, lessons prepared for next week, so that was good. The classes I did have went well.
After work, Fumihiko took me to M's Dining where we both had hamburgers, Japanese style. They weren't bad. We also had drink bar and salad.
When we came home we just fell asleep on the bed all snuggled up together for about an hour. I finally roused myself to write this, Fumihiko is still sleeping. He's very tired these days. He is very busy at work. Last night, he didn't sleep well. I woke up at 4 am or so and he was sitting up in bed reading. Of course, he woke me up by accident, but I ended up going to sleep again. He didn't. Poor guy.
Anyway, tomorrow I'll have a quiet day too, so I hope I'll be able to find something interesting to do with myself. I'll let you know later!
