Gorgeous weather...hot and sunny!
We're back!
We had a fabulous time in Australia. Our hotel was wonderful, and nothing bad happened! I bought a lot of clothes and got to see some of my friends. We had a great, great time.
We arrived back in Japan yesterday and came back to Tsuruoka tonight. Last night we stayed in the Hilton Narita and that was nice too! I was so tired that I think I took a nap in Narita Airport after we arrived. We had seven hours to kill after we landed so we sat around the airport for a while and then went and had coffee and visited Narita city. Fumihiko used to work there and he wanted to have a look around.
Today, we got up late, Fumihiko took a sauna in the hotel and then we went down for brunch. It was great. They had so much that I could eat, and so much (sadly) that I couldn't. Still, I did very well I think! After lunch we got on the free bus for Narita City. We tried to visit some old friends of Fumihiko's that ran a restaurant, but they weren't in. So, we decided rather than go back to Narita and take the expensive bus to Haneda, we'd take the cheaper but longer train! There were a few scary moments for me when I realized that I had no idea where we were going, but Fumihiko did us proud. We got to Hammatsuchuo and we got on the monorail. I need to trust him more! We checked in at the monorail station and then we boarded for the airport. The flight was pretty tame. There was a little turbulence as usual, but not too bad at all.
We went out for supper to La Chance. It was a good choice for Fumihiko, but not so great for me. I couldn't eat the soup, rice, or dessert, but the main dish was fine. It was yummy actually.
We came home and I downloaded the pictures I took into my camera so that I could show Fumihiko's Mum. That took a while. I also unpacked and read all of my incoming email. That also took a while!
I'm almost ready to go to sleep now. I'm still quite tired from the trip and I feel a little sleepy. However, I thought I should give you a couple of pictures to tide you over until my next entry! Night night!
