January 19, 2002 - Saturday

A busy, but good day.

I got up late this morning. Fumihiko came back upstairs and asked me where I wanted to go for breakfast. His mother was mad at him again. I said I didn't care, but when I came downstairs, she was putting food on the table and was nearly in tears. I told him that there was no way I was leaving. I think his Mum was a bit lonely, we've been spending a lot of time away from the house this week. So, we ate breakfast in and then went out in the car. Fumihiko dropped me off at the school and he went on his merry way.

Work was busy, but good. All the classes went well and only one student didn't show up! I was very impressed. The lessons just seemed to zip along and were fun. I was very glad to say that for a change!

For lunch I had sushi, which was funny, because in the class after lunch a student made a statement that she didn't think I could eat raw fish. Ha! That is such a generalization. I admit I don't like natto, but sushi and sashimi are great!

I had to stay late at work because I had a ton of paperwork to do. It wasn't really a ton, but it was either do it tonight or Tuesday night. I chose tonight!

Fumihiko came and picked me up and we came home for supper. We watched Roswell, and it was a neat episode. It was all about a time warp that took all of the humans away. The aliens and their helpers had to fight the skins. Okay. It sounds ridiculous, but I enjoy it!

Then, I was just going to do the dishes when Fumihiko sent me upstairs to do my computer stuff. What a sweetie! He's going to do the dishes.

Well, do you want an update about the meeting or not? I had an early start, but got to everywhere on time. I'm very glad to say. Usually I think meetings are boring, but this one was okay. I didn't exactly enjoy it, but it wasn't terrible!

The next day was stressful. I had to get up at 7:00, admittedly not that early, but I had to catch a train, a plane and two buses, so I was worried. The train was no sweat, but the plane left late, so I was under time pressure for that. However, everything worked out, except I was really tired. When I napped on the bus I put my back out somehow and it took a couple of days to really get all the kinks out.

And that was that.

So, I'll likely talk to you tomorrow night! Adios.
