August 13, 2001 - Monday
A busy day actually.
I got up to go to my lesson and ate my breakfast too. Unfortunately I didn't feel
that well, but decided to go out anyway. The lesson was great, but I was late.
Silly me. Actually, I was late due to the aforementioned illness, so I had a reason.
After the lesson my teacher gave me a souvenir from her trip. It was a canvas shopping
bag with teddy bears on it. It's so cute, and just a perfect size. I usually take
my backpack everywhere, but now I have something else to use. Thank you!
After the lesson I came home and watched some tv. I found that I had accidentally
taped over my tape of Bull Durham, which really ticked me off. However, I still
had the end of the movie on tape, so I decided to watch it. That is one of the sexiest
movies ever I think. Kevin Costner was hot back then. It was nice to see a movie with
two adults in love, not horny little teenagers copping a feel.
After a while I realized that I needed to get to a post office to mail some cards,
so I hopped on a train and went to Mycal.
I got into the post office right before they closed and did my stuff. Yay!
I did a touch of shopping and went for a late lunch, early supper in a restaurant
I go to sometimes. I was a little perturbed because I asked for my coffee to come
after the meal and I waited and waited and waited for it to come. The waitresses
were looking at me and I'm sure they were wondering why I didn't leave. Finally I made eye
contact with one and she came over. I requested my coffee...ice mint mocha...and
it arrived a couple of minutes later. I'm sure that they had forgotten that I had
ordered it. I didn't get any kind of an apology though. Should I go back there?
I wandered around a bit more and bought a few groceries and a present for Katie-chan.
It's a cute tie-dyed t-shirt and I got her a pair of shorts to go with them. I
think the shirt is too big right now, but with her hair I think she'll look so cute
in them.
After that I just came home. My leg is still bothering me and I didn't walk very
fast up the hill. Oh well.
Later I watched some taped TV and the end of Al Pacino's documentary, "Looking For
Richard". Then, it was time for ER. It was good tonight, but I think they are building
up to a few things. I don't know.
Anyway, I hope to get an early night tonight. I went to bed way too late last night
and I need some sleep!
It was a good day...did a few things that I needed too and all.
