August 26, 2000 - Saturday
Well, I just had my excitement for the day. We just had a minor earthquake in Otaru.
Seriously, about 20 minutes before I wrote these lines, the room started to move
slightly and I thought ,"Hmm, I wonder if we're getting an earthquake?". Then the
floor started to move a little bit harder. It was a 2 on the Japanese scale, which wasn't
too bad really, but was just enough to remind me that I'm living in Japan!
Today was good, work wise. I had 7 classes, so I was a tad busy. They went quite
well, if I say so myself. I met the last one of my students today. She'd been on
a home stay and I'd never met her before today.
I walked home after work and when I turned on the TV I caught the end of Virtuosity.
It was great to see Russell Crowe again, especially when he was young and buff.
My friend Pamella called during the film to find out what the name of the movie
was. We had a bit of a gab too. Then I switched over to 90210 and we got off the phone.
That's about it, except for the earthquake. I have to go to a beach party tomorrow.
