December 8, 1999 - Wednesday
I think I may be getting a cold, dammit! My nose is starting to plug up and today
I felt very hot-feverish. I hope I'm wrong.
I got my sister's package today. She had sent me some videos-thanks Van! But, the
powers that be at the customs opened the package again! I swear, I have lived all
over the world and I have never had so many packages opened. I guess they thought
she was sending in pornography without the blue circle. They don't know my sister. She's
the last person who would send anything like that to me.
My child class went okay today, not as well as it did last week, but I can live with
it.
Today's weather was great! It was cold and crisp, the sun was shining and there was
no rain, and not much wind. I hope that all of winter will be like that.
Tonight, my friend Janet in Kyoto called me and we gabbed about the place of women
in Japan and the overabundance of skin mags available here. I don't care what people
read in their own home, but please don't read one in front of me.
Anyway, I guess it's just a different way of life. It does bug me though. Sigh.
