We stopped at Castle Howard on the way to York. I wasn't feeling well this day and so I didn't see it all but here we are clutching bags of peacock food (beautiful!). I was quite impressed, however, with the one main room. The four elements were depicted in a most dramatic painting on the ceiling.
I sat on a big wall at Castle Howard while the rest of the party went for a stroll around the grounds. I took this picture while I was resting.
