SLAVE SILKS AND CLOTHING

Basic information on slave silks

When a slave is "not" yet collared.. the Masters, Mistresses. and other slaves look at the color of a slaves silks to determine her slave status or training. Many places require her to wear black which does not say,,,but she can say what she wore before. If new to Gor she should say so.

once a slave is collared or kolared...the Master which owns that slave may have the slave in any color silk that is pleasing to His or Her eyes... even if the Master chooses naked. the "collar or kolar" then tells everyone the slave is owned. it is the Masters words and not the color of the silks that rules the life of a "collared slave". But Most chose to use the color that shows her training to A/all . It gives a girl a reason to keep trying to improve so she can feel proud of her new silk color. But even a red silk should always continue to learn or she may loose them.

silks : are normally very short . very thin silk that can be seen through a little

white silks
pure.. but not necessarily a virgin... reserved for one's Masters pleasure only and or new to Gor with little training.....if you are new do not feel bad wearing white,,,if you wore yellow and a Master asked for something and you did not know how to serve it,,,,you could be in trouble or even whipped

red silks
this is a pleasure slave...she will be well trained in serving all drink and most foods....and pleasing in general....she must know how to dance and well...and know all the slave positions and be tested on such.....she may be allowed to give pleasure to many... (some Masters letting their collared slaves pleasure others even when they own them.. when wearing red.) Yet it should be known there are also many red silk that are reserverd to please sexually only to their Master. So a interested Master should ask the girl her restrictions.

yellow silks
slaves owned by the tavern or camp.. they work doing the tavern or camp chores and serving and do as the tavern or camp orders them. Or when privately owned this means she has training but may not have all her training yet,,,,such as dancing or all foods. Most rooms require a girl to know all her silks and most positions as well as most serves to even get to yellow silk...so be patient,,,,smile

gray (with red stripes or not)
state owned .. these are not made of silk but of cloth. garment is called a "camisk". Will not be in a room normally....

black silks
in the books there is no black silk....because if a girl is set free she is then a Free Woman....but in the rooms....when a girl is not owned she wears black or a tunic or maybe nothing at all.....a Master or Mistress wil most likely ask what she wore before to see her training....when she is kolared she wears the color her Master decides is correct

purple
purple is what the slaves or muls as they are called that serve the Priest kings .....many places call them silks,,,,shaking head,,,but in the books...the garment is made of a plactic like material and more like a tunic

** new slaves are normally white silk slaves while they are learning to serve and please a Master/Mistress. this will give the slave time to learn before there is an opportunity for dishonorable goreans to take advantage of the slave.

Not all of Gor areas does a slave or kajira wear silks,,,,such as the wagon P/peoples....hear are a few examples

Turian camisk
is a style of camisk worn by slaves in the city-state of Turia; it consists of a piece of cloth shaped like an inverted 'T' with a beveled crossbar; it fastens behind the neck & falls before the wearer's body; the crossbar then passes between her legs & is then brought forward snugly at the hips; it is held in place by a single cord that binds it at the back of the neck, behind the back, & in front at the waist

CAMISK
slit fully on both sides with a slit for the head, worn poncho style the cloth is held in place with a cord tied tightly about the waist..the hem coming barely beneath the groin and bottom so that the slave flesh is fully available at all times.

CHALWAR
baggy pants of diaphanous silk, worn by slavegirls of the Tahari; similar to the harem trousers of Earth

Clad Kajir.....Wagon peoples slaves
chatka is a strip of black leather, some 6 inches by 5 feet long, worn like a breech- cloth over the
curla (the red waist cord ) by the slavegirls of the Wagon peoples.

koora, a thin strip of red fabric worn as a headband.
note that in winter the slaves of the wagom people wear cloaks and boots due to the snow.

PLEASURE SILKS

SLAVE VEIL
a small triangle of diaphanous yellow silk, worn across the bridge of the nose and covering the lower half of the face; it parodies the heavy veils worn by free women as it conceals nothing and often arouses the lust of masters. It is often worn with the chalwar.

TA-TEERA
a simple cloth..a one-piece, sleeveless, short slave garment; also called the slave rag.made from rep cloth....a light brown

TALMIT
a headband

FOOTWEAR
shoes or sandles are almost never given to a slave...they are kept barefoot. occasionally cords are wrapped decoratively about the ankles and calves. the exception is in the winter amoung the wagon P/peoples....then shoes are needed .
