William Carr – St. Francis Harbour, Guysborough County, 82,
died Sunday in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Francis Harbour
he was a son of the late John and Bridget (MacKay) Carr.
He was a retired lumberman.
He is survived by two daughters; Alice (Mrs. James Grady) –
St. Francis Harbour; Florence (Mrs. Ralph Howden) – Barrie, Ontario;
two sons; Alton – St. Francis Harbour; Charles – Watertown, Ontario;
twenty grandchildren; and three great-granchildren. He was predeceased by his wife,
the former Theresa Ann Davidson, one sister and two brothers.
The body is at the family residence in St. Francis Harbour.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church,
Rev. Paul MacDonald officiating. The burial will be
in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made
to the church building fund.
