John Henry George, Halfway Cove, May 27,
the death occurred on Saturday
evening, May 16,
at the Eastern memorial Hospital, Canso of John Henry
George,
in his 83rd [has been altered in pen to read 82] year.
Mr George
had been in failing health for several months.
He leaves to mourn, beside
his widow, two daughters,
Mary (Mrs Charles Taylor) of Fox Island; Bertha
(Mrs Clement George ), Halfway Cove;
two sons, Harry of Cook's Cove and
Charles, with whom he resided and six grandchildren.
Services at the home,
church and graveside were conducted by his minister,
Rev D Sherrin of the
Anglican Church. Interment was in the family plot
in St James Cemetery,
Halfway Cove.
