these parts of the gun are very important, they are what decide how the paintballs are loaded, observe:
Standard Feed Portthis is the basic feed port, it is just a conecting tube that leads into the chamber..seen on the automag classic w/o powerfeed
Power Feedthe powerfeed is a feed tube that feeds paintballs across the top, letting them go into the gun on the other side, along the way, just before the chamber, is a little knob, is turned one way, it will stop the feed of paintballs, turned back, it will allow the feed of paintballs to continue
Cross Feedthis is a power feed w/o the option to turn off the flow of paintballs, it also loads ACROSS the top of the gun loading on the other side
Vertical Feedthis has probably got the best feed capabilitys, its allows the balls to just simply go straight down, nothing in its way, but its very hard to stop the flow, unless you buy one of the specal adaptors that have a vertical power feed, they really neat-o!
Specs For Feedingalong with the look/style of these, there are performances that vary with them, there is the blow back design, this uses the co2 that comes out of the chamber to sort of blow the air around so that it will force it into the chamber, there is also the Blow forward design, this is another version of the blow back design, but its used in a different way/feed style, there are some other more specific ways of learning about this, so talk to your paintball store, they have all the know-how, "when it comes to paintball, your paintball store owner knows it all"
