upon her leaving

paralyzed
unable to move
devastated, ripped apart, falling, shattering

empty
unable to live
crippled, burnt, tasting bitter bitter fruit

silent
unable to breathe
left alone, missing you, taunted by your shadow

cold
unable to feel
numb to what's coming, and thankful in a way

sad
but unwilling to cry
putting what's past behind, moving on, dying of a broken heart
