the territory of lovers
a happy place
my key to its gates
one glimpse of your face

a flashback when i've left there
not entirely by choice
triggered very simply
by the sound of your voice

a burning bridge
an ocean of tears
left behind
with all of my fears

the scent of your skin
the taste of your lips
and back into the territory of lovers
my mind slips
