Anything I write about myself has to start with the other part of me, my soulmate Nick. He's the best thing that ever happened to me and in July we're getting married. To find out more about him, go to his wonderful site bluemetallicdotcom.
But if you really want to know about me, here ya go.
Beginning in June, I'll be working with z j w e b w o r k s, a web design and graphics company.
Prior to that, I worked as a general assignment reporter and copy editor for The Bradford (Pa.) Era newspaper for nearly six years. During that time, I interviewed Doc Severinsen, Crystal Gayle, Ben Vereen and Maureen McGovern.
I also covered appearances by then-First Lady Hilary Rodham Clinton, opera star Marilyn Horne, county music superstars The Oakridge Boys and the legendary Bob Dylan. I covered the training camp of the Buffalo Bills football team as well.
I also wrote for The Lakeshore Visitor, the newspaper for the Catholic Dioceses of Erie, Pa., and When & Where, the magazine for the Pennsylvania Tourism Bureau.
Hard as it may seem to believe, when I'm not working I like to write in my spare time. I've had some poetry published (you'll find it on My Poetry Page) and I've been working on a novel. Don't look for it in book stores anytime soon, though. I've been working on it for a long time! *S*
I'm also kind of into photography (you'll find some of my work on these pages) and I'm working on cartoons now, too. I hope to have them on my site soon.
I like almost all kinds of music, but I believe Eric Clapton is in a category all his own. Know what I mean? There's Clapton, then there's everyone else.
I have very eclectic tastes in movies, too. "Armageddon," "When Harry Met Sally" and "Never Been Kissed" are some of my favorites. See what I mean?
Bored yet? *S* I suppose that's enough about me for now.
Enjoy your visit through my site, and come back soon.
