When he stabbed you, the look in your eyes almost knocked the wind out of me. They showed so many of the emotions I never thought you would show, especially to me. Pain, Fear, Surprise. They radiated so intensely that I could see the brightness from my place in the hall. As you fell into my arms, my heart literally stopped. Its impossible to explain the way I felt when I had to leave and chase after Larraq.
I would do anything to be by your side, instead of watching the explosion of Larraqs' ship dissipate into the darkness of space. I want to be there to hold your hand, to say every thing will be all right ..... I
want to be there to hold you when you wake up, even though I know you would never let me, because that would betray your hard peacekeeper exterior
When I finally got up the courage to look down at my hands, I notice that they are still covered with blood, your blood, and I realize how close I came to loosing you. When I came to see you, you looked so still and
peaceful, it was like nothing had every happened to you. So as I sit here next to your bed, I allow your breathing to lull me into a peaceful sleep where I can dream about holding you in my arms.

As soon as I felt the knife pierce my skin, I knew that I was in trouble. Larraq was a peacekeeper and he knew exactly where to stab someone if he wanted them dead. The look of terror on Johns face hurt me more than
words can describe. Then the inevitable happened, gravity took control of my body and I was sent tumbling toward the floor. But you caught me, and laid me down so gently that it made my already tattered heart ache. I saw the look in your eyes when Dargo told you to go after Larraq. I saw the way you hesitated and I heard the quick inhalation of your breath as you turned away
from me. I longed for you to stay their and hold me, but I knew you couldn't; so I allowed the pain to overwhelm me, sending me into a blissful unconscience.
A few hours later, as I drifted back into the conscience world, I saw you sleeping next to my bed and a smile slowly spread across my face. When I laid my hand down next to yours, you turned slightly, causing your hand to fully cover mine. I was shocked at how natural holding someone's hand felt, especially yours. I tried to stay awake, but the rhythmic beating of your
pulse against my wrist and the safety I felt with you near me, allowed me to slip into sleep knowing that you would keep me safe.
