DISCLAIMER: Don't own them…. Too bad
NOTES: Don't know…. It hit me… Aeryn hit me too.
SPOILERS: EFG, the rest I don't know.

John stood on the terrace, watching as the Drakhs went home… into the
cold dark space.
Inside, he felt as cold as space too.
"I feel the Living Death…"
"No. You hold on. I won't let it happen."
"It's not your choice. Remember your promise."
He remembered it all right. He kept it too. The increase of the
temperature had been too much for Aeryn. His plan had backfired. The
Commando's hadn't survived either.
He thought back to when he had came back.
*****
"Zhaan! Where are you?" he called.
"In here John. Hurry!" She had called.
He entered Aeryn's quarters, something he wouldn't have done normally.
But this wasn't normally. As soon as he had entered the bathroom, he
understood why Zhaan had urged him to come quicker.
"Living… Death. Crichton…" Aeryn mumbled, shivering from the coldest
water on board.
"Zhaan, what's happening. And don't tell me it's too late. It can't be."
*****
It had been too late for Aeryn. He had kept his promise, he had killed
her as a friend would do. And now, he was alone. He heard the door to
the terrace open.
"John? You should get some sleep. There is nothing you could've done.
I'm sure Aeryn would've understood." The quiet, friendly Delvian
priestess said.
"Why? Aeryn was so strong… nothing could get to her like that…" he said,
staring ahead into space.
He felt Zhaan's hand on his shoulder. "We all have our weaknesses." And
then she was gone.
He felt a single tear slip… he had cried so long after Aeryn had died.
Zhaan had given him sedatives and he had slept for a while. Until the
nightmares began. When he had woken up, he had immediately left for the
Terrace. It was Aeryn's place for him. He could just picture her,
standing next to him, discussing some primitive lifeforms to be
squashed. And he would smile… but it wasn't going to happen… not any
more.

"Crichton? Wake up…"
"Aeryn?"
